Laird Magnus “Maggie” Sutherland had a hard life loosing father and brothers in battle. Only thing he had now is his prowess in the bedchamber. But it’s time for Magnus to provide an heir, which is the only reason he agrees to marry the neighboring chieftain’s sister. Instead of the youngest sister he promised to wed, he found solace in the oldest sister. However, Lady Effie Reay has refused his suit in no other reason than because she still held onto the past.
My Take: Kimberly Killion has gifted us with a fantastic read. This book takes place in Scotland, it’s a fast pace book from finish to end. Magnus and Effie were well suited for they both had suffered loss. The ending…last just say I didn’t see that ending coming.
