“I read the book one Saturday afternoon in about 3 1/2 hours straight.
While I wanted to take a break, I found myself simply unable to put
it down until reaching the end. ALL GOOD! Touché. Excellent story.
Excellent plot…” Amazon Review July 4, 2017
“There are a lot of great action sequences throughout the book, and each
chapter builds upon the last. The author does a great job with
setting the scene and describing the characters in the story, it was
like watching a movie in my head…” Amazon Review June 27, 2017

˜Interview with Nollen Bradley˜

Where do you get inspiration for your stories?

Usually something happens to me, some event gives me inspiration. Then shortly after I’ll hear a song that reminds me of what happened and it appears. I start thinking of the plot, story lines dialogue and characters.

Like with Guardian unforgiven I had an experience baling hay in a field giving me the creeps, if you know what I mean. Then I was listening to Metallica’s songs Unforgiven 1, 2 and 3. That’s when the entire story unfolded.

How did you do research for your book?

That’s a good question, most everything geographical I already knew. The story itself was pretty easy. After being a Paramedic for twelve years, you study people in unusual circumstances.

Now the werewolf part… that was just a lot of hours on the internet with some unusual conversations with the wife over what she saw on my web browser.

I’m currently doing research for a historical romance that I started and am taking a trip to South Dakota to research some things. So, travel is not out of the question. I want things to be as realistic and accurate as they possible can. Especially when it came to the erotic parts.

Do you have another profession besides writing?

I farm here in Kansas but not like I once did or in the way we once did. Writing is my full-time profession.

If you could go back in time, where would you go?

Probably the old west. I think back then things were just as complicated as they are now. But, the complications were different.

What is your next project?

Well, I am just about finished with the second book in the Guardian Unforgiven series which will be out soon.

I also hope to have the third book in the series out by March or April 2018.

As, I mentioned earlier I am working on a Historical Romance which will take me a while due to all the research that is involved.

Nollen Bradley is a pen name for Bradley Noll an American author residing
near Leavenworth Kansas. The married, father of two grown children is
new to the published author scene even though he has been writing
song lyrics, poems and short stories all of his life.
Brad grew up on a farm outside of Winchester Kansas learning the value of
hard work. Following college, Brad spent twelve years as a Paramedic
until his second back surgery ending his successful career where he
received several letters of commendation.
Brad spent time farming in his off days feeling the everyday pressures of
the weather, markets and juggling the debt that is associated with
large business. All the while, continuing to write songs and preform
at local venues. Following a music CD he produced named “Make
Believe” with eleven of his original songs and while in the process
of producing his second Album he realized his talent was more suited
for writing then music.
One day it snapped and with Brad’s influences like Merle Haggard, Chris
Kristofferson, Hank Jr., Metallica and most of all “The Man in
Black” Johnny Cash. Brad’s mentors show as in the words from the
poem ‘Looking Down’
I pulled my cowboy hat down low, Drank down my last swallow,
Of Kentucky Bourbon and coke,
As the World was spinning round, I knew I have to slow it down,
Cause I’m going nowhere fast, staring at the bottom of this glass…”
Nollen Bradley 2010
Embracing the concept to ask the question “Why so many lose and so few win?”
Rooting for the underdog’s the longshot’s just like himself. The
ones that are not supposed to make it but push and fight with
everything they have and despite the odds, they still try.
Don’t let the rough exterior fool you, for inside Brad is the heart of a
poet. Sometimes a tortured soul haunted by memories or questions. A
helpless romantic as seen in the poem ‘When We Flew’
“…Guess now, I can look back to then, How I can’t help but smile,
Through these tears that hide the pain, I think of you… every memory
But, when we flew Girl we were something to see,
Higher than one life could ever be,
we flew so high we no longer believed… so we lost those dreams,
It saddens me, until I think about, when we flew Girl, cause we were
something to see…”
Nollen Bradley 2011
Brad takes the experience from the sweat stinging his eyes from the heat
on a hot July day in Kansas. The heartache from having to tell a
parent or a child that their loved one has died and there was nothing
he could do, to the struggles of trying to pursue a dream and
watching it crumble in front of him. Brad has developed a style that
draws on real life experiences to provide exciting yet believable
story lines that captivate readers. Writing unbelievable tales with
the realism of the struggles from everyday life in the painful cookie
cutter suburban age.

Review: Howl For It

Howl for It (The Pride Series) by [Laurenston, Shelly, Eden, Cynthia]

Title: Howl For It| Author: Shelly Larenston | Author: Cynthia Eden

 Series: Pride Series|Genre: Paranormal Romance

Publisher: Kensington | Publication Date: January 30, 2018 | Page Length: 337 pages

They hunger for your pleasure. They growl for your touch. And in these sizzling stories by New York Times bestselling author Shelly Laurenston and Cynthia Eden, these sexy wolf shapeshifters are lust at first bite. . .

Like A Wolf With A Bone Shelly Laurenston

Quiet little Darla Lewis couldn’t be happier when the most-feared member of the South’s rowdiest pack kidnaps her. A girl gets real tired of being overprotected by her own shifter family, and there’s nothing like an oh-so-big bad wolf to start a pack feud, unleash her instincts–and have her surrender however and whenever she wants. . .

Wed Or Dead Cynthia Eden

Gage Ryder knew his human bride had a wild side. But spending their honeymoon night on the run from hunters out to finish him and his pack is sure not the kind of fun he was looking forward to. No problem–Gage will do whatever it takes to lay bare Kayla’s secrets and find the truth. If he can keep from being captured by his own seductive game. . .

Howl For it comprises of two of my favorite authors, Cynthia Eden and Shelly Laurenston. You know when you decide to read a book written by either of this author that you are in store for hours of entertainment. I am happy to say that Howl For It never failed to entertain.

But a fair warning this book was originally released on August 28, 2012, by Bravo.

Book #1:  Like A Wolf With A Bone by Shelly Laurenston. If you read the Pride Series than you may know Dee-Ann. Well, this story is about her parents and how they met. Along with a great story, Shelly Laurenston put her brand of mixing romance with humor. This story was a pleasure and you got to visit with the Lewis and Smith.

Book #2: Wed or Dead was written by Cynthia Eden. This too is a shifter romance. But where Shelly Laurenston entertained us with humor and romance. Cynthia Eden provided us readers with intrigue. It started off with Kayla who only lot in life is to kill paranormal creatures that prey on humans. With her next target being Gage…An alpha of the Vegas pack. The only way she can take him out was by marrying him and then on their wedding night take him out. Or so she thought! She finds out that Gage has a say on the matter.

Both of these stories, though different brought the same reaction…of pure satisfaction of having the pleasure of reading two relaxing stories of humor and intrigue.

Howl for It a solid paranormal romance that all romance fans will enjoy.

Review: Heart of the Wolf (Heart of the Wolf #1)

Heart of the Wolf by [Spear, Terry]

Title: Heart of the Wolf | Author: Terry Spear | Series: Heart of the Wolf #1

Print Length: 403 pages | Publisher: Sourcebooks Casablanca| Genre: Paranormal

Publication Date: January 2, 2018  | First Published: April 1, 2008

Mass Market Paperback, 10th anniversary edition

Danger, intrigue, and forbidden love in a wolf shifter world so compelling, you’ll swear it’s real life…

Bella, a female red werewolf, was adopted by a pack of gray wolves as a pup. Now grown up, the alpha of the pack tries to make her his mate against her will—Bella knows she has no choice but to run away.

She makes her way as a lone wolf until childhood friend, Devlyn, comes to bring her home. On their journey back, they get tangled in up in unimaginable danger and must apprehend a werewolf murderer while keeping their identity secret from humans. The chemistry between them sizzles like never before…but they both know if they mate, Devlyn will have to fight the pack’s wicked alpha…and it’s a fight to the death.

As a companion to Bella and Devlyn’s story, this edition includes an exclusive, brand new novella that brings the story of the lupus garou family full circle.

Two stories with one destiny. Heart of the Wolf written by Terry Spear is book #1 in the Heart of the Wolf series. It was first published on April 1, 2008, with a different cover. It all began with Bella being a sole survivor of the fire that wiped out her entire pack. Found as a young pup, she was adopted into a pack where the Alpha was vicious and become a threat to Bella well-being. After the last attack by the Alpha, Bella escapes, to live a life as a lone wolf. Until one day a grey wolf appears to bring her back into the fold.

In the second story, we learn that Bella wasn’t the only one to have escaped the fire. Her sister Sabine too escaped but also under the misconception that she was the only one who made it out alive. Until, one day coming home from work to learn that her roommate left but not before draining her bank account. Now on the hunt on the scoundrel who absconded with her life savings. But before she does, she needs to take care of one thing that was to sell her family land. Instead of finding her land abandon, she finds the land occupied by grey wolves and soon learns that her sister may not only be alive but married to the packs Alpha.

Heart of the Wolf was not one of Terry Spears better works. Bella and Dylan’s story were too convoluted to be believable. All through the story, I was questioning Dylan’s masculinity, even after the story has ended I am still wondering how did he become the Alpha.  Too, you must solve a murder mystery, where it is later learned that a rogue shifter is going around murdering human females, who compellingly resembles Bella.  Out of the two stories I think that Sabina story was the better out of the two stories, it wasn’t too convoluted a truly great PNR romance. In my opinion, the two stories shouldn’t have been encompassed into one story.

Attacked by werewolves. Mated to the Alpha. Declared a queen. Kari is having an unusual day.

In the Cherchez wolf pack, loyalty is earned, not given. For Andreas, the pull he feels toward Kari cannot be ignored, a physical bond immediate and unbreakable—though Andreas wants to win Kari’s heart as well as her body. But someone isn’t happy about his new mate, and Kari’s just beginning to trust him and the pack when attempted murder threatens their newfound happiness.

Andreas brings out the deepest hunger in Kari, a sexy, passionate side of herself she never knew was there. And her new life as werewolf queen is turning out to be surprisingly emotional in other ways, as well. The bond she feels with Andreas extends to the others in the pack—others she’s now bound to defend.

And as the pack’s enemies are about to discover, Kari will do anything to protect her new family.

My Review:

I didn’t start reading books by Lauren Dane until last year. When I saw she had a new title I job on the chance to read her latest title Wolf’s Ascension which I notice was previously published under a different title, but the good thing was I never read the previous title so all was good. So was Wolf’s Ascension. Kari didn’t think her life could get any stranger. First being attacked by a wild dog, waking up in a hospital being told that she was attacked but she didn’t have signs of being attacked by a wild dog. Next she is abducted by her doctor and waking up again at a house at an unknown location and being told that during the next full moon she was going to shift into a werewolf. What would a sane girl think when she was also told that she was some man’s alpha bitch. Either she has gone crazy are these people are escapees from an insane asylum and that she must escape. Try us she must she made it as far as the road leading to civilization when she was picked up by a kind civilian, just to be returned to the place she has escaped from.

Wolf Ascension was truly good book that will have you laughing for sure. The attraction between Andreas and Kari was hot and the plotline very interesting. If you like a good were-shifter book, Wolf Ascension by Lauren Dane would be one of the titles I recommend reading.

Harvest Moon (The Moon Series #4)

Some wolves were never meant for a mate…

Dr. Jason Ayers unleashes all of his rage and his frustration through fists and brute force in an underground boxing ring. The werewolf may be the pack’s doctor, but he can’t even heal his coma-stricken father after the Nero Organization’s attack stopped his heart. And as his Pack brothers settle down around him, he still refuses to believe in the fairy tale notion that every wolf has a true mate…

In hiding and on the run, Nurse Kilani Akamu is a loose end that Nero is desperate to tie up. She can’t afford to be attracted to a doctor-especially one as unexpectedly hot and complex as Jason. Yet the sexual sparks arcing between them are undeniable…and Kilani’s precognitive senses warn her that temptation is inevitable.

All it takes is one touch to send Jason’s wolf howling. But even if he could protect her from Nero, he can’t protect her from himself…

My Review: Harvest moon would be the first book I read in The Moon Series written by Lisa Kessler and would be the first book I read by this author. Harvest Moon is a first person narration for that alone I almost given up on reading this book. In that I would have missed out on an excellent story. Jason & Kilani story was one addictive book. I can actually say that this book had me try to find the other three books in the series to see what I’ve missed in the way of story lines.

Harvest Moon had as on a journey of learning to forgive oneself. Jason thought that being a doctor for the pack that he would be able to heal everyone. However, he learned that wasn’t so when his dad was attacked. To relieve some of the rage and frustration he partakes in fighting in an underground boxing club.

Kilani was a nurse who is on the run for her life from an organization who had her roommate murdered. Kilani is the only loose, alone the way she meets Jason who knows everything there was to know about the organization “Nero” for it was the same organization that is hunting Kilani that had his father attacked. Now Kilani has to decide if she can trust Jason with her life and with her heart.

Worth the Risk (Miami Scorcher Series Book 2)

One man is getting in the way of her revenge . . . her mate.

Werewolf Marisol Cabrera has one goal in life: kill the man who murdered her entire pack. When she meets alpha werewolf Stephan and realizes he’s her mate, all her carefully laid plans dissipate in seconds. By all accounts, she should hate Stephan and everything he stands for. After all, he’s a dirty arms dealer doing business with her mortal enemy. Unfortunately, every time the dominating wolf gets close, she can’t deny her growing attraction for the last man in the world she expected to want.

But things aren’t what they seem. . .

Undercover DEA agent Stephan Lazos is about to make the biggest bust of his career, but everything that can go wrong, does. He never expected to discover his mate while on the job. She saves his life and his cover when he almost shifts in the middle of a crowded Miami nightclub, but that doesn’t mean he trusts her. The clock is ticking and if he doesn’t figure out what secrets the sexy she-wolf is keeping from him, he might not just lose his job, but his life in the process.

My Review: Savannah Stuart has done it again. I had the opportunity to read Worth the Risk; well it’s also Worth the Read. The description doesn’t do this book justice.

Marisol Cabrera was on a mission that was to kill the man who murdered her entire pack.

Stephan Lazos too was on a mission to take down a man who the DEA thinks is smuggling drugs, at the nightclub for where the meeting was taking place, he finds his mate. It wasn’t a good time when he was in a middle of a sting operation, but when his protection for his mate takes front row seat will his mission be a failure or will both succeed on their secret mission.

Worth the Risk was an excellent book from start to finish; now I can’t wait to read her next book. The connection between these two was hot that it singed my fingers, or it could be my kindle is malfunctioning.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Worth the Risk was previously published elsewhere. It has been revised and edited.

After a dominance challenge ended with his parents deaths, Mason left Willow Bend and his pack behind, choosing instead to live life on his own terms…as a Lone Wolf. She is left with two options—she can tell the only wolf she’s ever loved that she’s carrying their child…or she can protect him, keep the baby a secret, and run.

My Review: As you my fellow readers may know. I started reading Wolves of Willow Bend late and that the first title I started with was Rive Wolf #7 which you can find my review about that title here if you are new to my site.

Well I enjoyed that book so much I wanted to catch up with the other story to see how they added up with book #7. That series started with Wolf Bite and I just have to say “WOW”, I really enjoyed Wolf Bite it all started with one challenge and foreseen challenge that left his father dead and his mother winding up taking her own life. After losing both parents Mason become a Lone Wolf and disbanded from the pack, leaving everything he known behind even the one person he come to care about. Until one day he heard a scream, running to investigate he come upon a women being attack. The surprise was on him, for the women he just saved were the one he left behind in Willow Bend…..Alexi Huston.

Alexis Huston the adopted daughter of Ryan the attorney for the Willow Bend wolf pack have always felt like she didn’t fit in with pack life. Being a human surrounded by wolves unable to do what the other could do. Alexis decided to leave Willow Bend to strike out on her own and leave a normal human life. However, all that changed with one mugging and a meeting with an old friend.

The dye has been cast when Alexis becomes pregnant and is left with two options she could tell Mason about the baby…or she can protect Mason from the upcoming battle that he would face once it becomes common knowledge that he was the child’s father.

Witches Be Burned Book Review

Witches Be Burned is the first book I ever read by Stacey Kennedy. As I read this book I felt that I was missing something. The reason for being lost I found was that this book is the sequel to Werewolves Be Damned, so if you haven’t read the first book I do advise that you do so to get Nexi back story.

Witches Be Burned has everything; it has witches, vampires, werewolves, and guardians. This story was made for every paranormal romance lover out there. Nexi has lost her entire family and she’s hell bent on getting revenge. Only one person can either help her or at least try to keep her safe that is Elite Guardian Kyden. This book was so compelling that I hated to see it end.

All in all, this book was a truly enjoyable read that it’s like a mini cliffhanger that leaves you wanting more.

This book is on sale now.
