Jordan: New Orleans Magic is the first part of a three-part series penned by Rebecca York. It’s a paranormal romantic suspense.

Somebody is slaughtering supporters of Camille DuPree. Camille’s restaurant. Presently to protect her benefactors she employed a security organization. In any case, unbeknownst to Camille her past and present intersect when her old flame comes entering back into her life.

This book I couldn’t get into. I liked the puzzle, the character’s not really. Indeed, even the purpose for their separation had a Romeo and Juliet plot just with a more joyful closure. The plot was well developed. However, again the characters required somewhat more work.

A deadly secret can’t stay buried forever . . .

Revenge. It’s the only thing that will help Anya Best sleep at night. The serial killer who murdered her sister is on the loose, and Anya will stop at nothing to put him behind bars-even use herself as bait to lure him out of hiding. But she can’t do this alone.

Private investigator Heath Jones’s job is to bring bastards to justice. This time it’s personal. He knew the Copper Killer’s latest victim so when her sister asks for his help, he’s all in. But when Anya uses the media to taunt the killer, she exposes Heath’s identity, putting them both in jeopardy. Now, secrets buried long ago are coming to light and the forces determined to destroy him are watching Heath’s every move, waiting to exact their own revenge. And they’ll use anything and anyone to get to Heath.

Lethal Lies was a blast to read. The 2nd book to Rebecca Zanetti Blood Brother series. We have Heath Jones trying to bring justice to the lawless with the help of brothers. But things get personal when the serial killer nicknamed “Copper Killer” has an eye for Anya.
Anya has personal problems after walking in on her boyfriend getting busy with one of his students. But nothing is more personal when you attract the attention of a serial killer. With one phone call, Anya will change her life for the worse or better depending on your perceptions. I personally am the person who always sees the glass as half empty.
The action begins from the start and maintained that flow until the very last page. It was a pleasure to read this book. Matter affect I changed my whole entire reading order just to read this book first. I was hoping for goods things from this book since I really enjoyed the Sins Brothers and the first book in this new series.
Well, Rebecca Zanetti didn’t disappoint. The chemistry between Heath and Anya was captivating . What I enjoyed about this story, was the same thing that drew me in from the start…the romantic suspense. Let me say, that I thought I knew who the “Copper Killer” and it was a really shocker to found out who it really was.
I will recommend this book to anyone who is into romantic suspense. I also would recommend that you start with the Sins Brothers series to get the back history. Reason being that the villainess in this series made her appearance in the Sins Brother’s series.

Danger

Tori Cox, a talented and sought-after musician, heads back to her roots to a small southwest town in Arizona as she flees an abusive relationship. When she arrives she witnesses the execution of a federal agent by the head of the Jimenez Cartel. The drug cartel kingpin orders his men to kill Tori before she can testify.

Desire

Landon Walker, a special agent with the Department of Homeland Security, rescues Tori from members of one of the most ruthless cartels in the world. He sets out to protect her, but soon protecting her isn’t enough. The fire between them makes him want her in a way that he’s never wanted another woman, despite his wounded heart.

Death

Diego Montego Jimenez will do everything in his power to kill Tori, the young American woman, who threatens his business and family. No one lives to testify against the Jimenez Cartel.

Hidden Prey written by Cheyenne McCray is book #1 in her Deadly Intent series. Based on a thrilling tale of being at the wrong place at the wrong time, and redemption. Tori was coming home after escaping from a relationship based on control. But, escape for Tori comes with a price. After witnessing a murder of which she would later learn of a Federal agent. Tori must go into hiding to stay alive.

Landon has his own cross to bear when he learns that the witness he is to protect is the sister of a man worked for the same cartel out to silence her.

The suspense of the storytelling couldn’t touch the burning attraction that Landon ignites in Tori. I would recommend this story to any reader who likes suspense with a well-scripted plot-line.

SWEPT AWAY BY PASSION. . .

Rydell Case’s ship is his home, his heart, and his reason for being. After his ex-wife left him—taking his brand-new megayacht, Tesoro Mio with her—she sailed off with a royal billionaire and out of his life forever. Now Ry spends his days searching for treasure—until his ship is hijacked. With the prospect of his salvage business tanking, he needs both the ship and his ex back—if only she didn’t despise him more than any man on earth. . .

When Addison D’Marco boards Tesoro Mio to find her ex-husband in her cabin, she’s furious. Ry is more handsome, more annoying, and more determined than ever. Addy can’t believe he has the nerve to demand the ship back after the way he broke her heart. With her fiancé about to board, she doesn’t want Ry back in her life to ignite painful memories and never- forgotten desires. But could it be that, amid troubled waters, Addy and Ry can salvage what they once had and have a second chance at love. . .or does fate have something else in store?

This book wasn’t as good as the last one I read. It was okay with a lot of drama. The story-line was okay for what it was worth. The characters were likable or I should say some were liable. Others you just wanted to run them over with a freight train. The best part of this book for me was the last few chapters. Other than those bits at the end, nothing too much really happened.

First in a chilling new paranormal romantic suspense series from award-winning author Abbie Roads

He’s found her at last
Cain Killion knows himself to be a damaged man, his only saving grace the extrasensory connection to blood that he uses to catch murderers. His latest case takes a macabre turn when he discovers a familiar and haunting symbol linking the crime to his own horrific past-and only one woman could know what it means.

Only to lose her to a nightmare
Mercy Ledger is brave, resilient, beautiful-and in terrible danger. The moment he sees Mercy, Cain knows he’s the one who can save her. He also knows he’s beyond redemption. But the lines between good and evil blur and the only thing clear to Cain and Mercy is that they belong together. Love is the antidote for blood-but is their bond strong enough to overcome the evil that stalks them?

I was totally shocked by this book. If this book wasn’t categorized as a romance I would have sworn I was reading a thriller and a dark one at that.

It was the cover that lured me in. But after reading this bone-chilling, paranormal suspense thriller. Yes, I said a paranormal suspense thriller. Abbie Roads has put together one energetic book that would start her new series Fatal Truth on a high note.

Cain Killion knew that he might be one step away from being a serial killer just like his father. His only saving grace is he uses his gift with blood to take the edge off. Until one crime scene became all too familiar. With a haunting symbol linking the crime to his past and only one person would know what it means.

Some say that a person could take a lot before they go mentally insane. And what Mercy Ledger went through…witnessing her family being murder by the hands of Cai’s father should have done it. But Mercy was a resilient person. But when Cain and Mercy past comes back to haunt them will it kill them or drive both over the deep end.

I’ve read only two other books by Abbie Road and those where her Fatal Dreams Series, I must say that Saving Mercy tops either one of those. The plotline flows flawlessly without missing a beat.

I would recommend this book, it certainly had it all. I wouldn’t recommend it as a light reading material before bed.

M. Cassidy—Luke Brodie had heard the name before, some novice bounty hunter working Seattle, catching tricky skips with more success than a newcomer should expect. But the dark curls, sparkly top, and impressive cleavage were not what Brodie had pictured.

Emma Cassidy is tough and smart and sexy as hell. She’s also popping up a step ahead of him every time he’s close to the capture he wants most . . . and there’s no room for learning on the trail of this monster.

Emma has idolized Luke Brodie, the bounty hunter who can bring anyone in. The big man in the soft shoes, with a face like a fallen angel and a reputation for breaking hearts. Watching him in action is intoxicating. But her fight with Rudy Vance is fiercely personal. If he gets too close, Brodie will find out just how ferocious she can be . . .

Into the Firestorm is the 3rd book in the BOSS, Inc series, penned by Kat Martin. I thought it was the best out of the series so far. The reason, the plot, the plot, the plot. Not to say that I am easy, but when an author can hold my attention longer than a chapter, then I know that I am in it for the remainder of the book.

Emma Cassidy didn’t want to become a bounty hunter, it was forced upon her. When her young niece was raped and the same man attempted to do it again. Emma decided to take the law into her own hands to bring the man to justice. But, to do so, she must outwit the top bounty hunter Luke Brodie.

Into the Firestorm was an enjoyable book from the beginning, middle, and end. This book is a keeper. A must read for readers who like strong female characters who can go toe to toe with a strong dominating alpha male.
