SWEPT AWAY BY PASSION. . .

Rydell Case’s ship is his home, his heart, and his reason for being. After his ex-wife left him—taking his brand-new megayacht, Tesoro Mio with her—she sailed off with a royal billionaire and out of his life forever. Now Ry spends his days searching for treasure—until his ship is hijacked. With the prospect of his salvage business tanking, he needs both the ship and his ex back—if only she didn’t despise him more than any man on earth. . .

When Addison D’Marco boards Tesoro Mio to find her ex-husband in her cabin, she’s furious. Ry is more handsome, more annoying, and more determined than ever. Addy can’t believe he has the nerve to demand the ship back after the way he broke her heart. With her fiancé about to board, she doesn’t want Ry back in her life to ignite painful memories and never- forgotten desires. But could it be that, amid troubled waters, Addy and Ry can salvage what they once had and have a second chance at love. . .or does fate have something else in store?

This book wasn’t as good as the last one I read. It was okay with a lot of drama. The story-line was okay for what it was worth. The characters were likable or I should say some were liable. Others you just wanted to run them over with a freight train. The best part of this book for me was the last few chapters. Other than those bits at the end, nothing too much really happened.

First in a chilling new paranormal romantic suspense series from award-winning author Abbie Roads

He’s found her at last
Cain Killion knows himself to be a damaged man, his only saving grace the extrasensory connection to blood that he uses to catch murderers. His latest case takes a macabre turn when he discovers a familiar and haunting symbol linking the crime to his own horrific past-and only one woman could know what it means.

Only to lose her to a nightmare
Mercy Ledger is brave, resilient, beautiful-and in terrible danger. The moment he sees Mercy, Cain knows he’s the one who can save her. He also knows he’s beyond redemption. But the lines between good and evil blur and the only thing clear to Cain and Mercy is that they belong together. Love is the antidote for blood-but is their bond strong enough to overcome the evil that stalks them?

I was totally shocked by this book. If this book wasn’t categorized as a romance I would have sworn I was reading a thriller and a dark one at that.

It was the cover that lured me in. But after reading this bone-chilling, paranormal suspense thriller. Yes, I said a paranormal suspense thriller. Abbie Roads has put together one energetic book that would start her new series Fatal Truth on a high note.

Cain Killion knew that he might be one step away from being a serial killer just like his father. His only saving grace is he uses his gift with blood to take the edge off. Until one crime scene became all too familiar. With a haunting symbol linking the crime to his past and only one person would know what it means.

Some say that a person could take a lot before they go mentally insane. And what Mercy Ledger went through…witnessing her family being murder by the hands of Cai’s father should have done it. But Mercy was a resilient person. But when Cain and Mercy past comes back to haunt them will it kill them or drive both over the deep end.

I’ve read only two other books by Abbie Road and those where her Fatal Dreams Series, I must say that Saving Mercy tops either one of those. The plotline flows flawlessly without missing a beat.

I would recommend this book, it certainly had it all. I wouldn’t recommend it as a light reading material before bed.

M. Cassidy—Luke Brodie had heard the name before, some novice bounty hunter working Seattle, catching tricky skips with more success than a newcomer should expect. But the dark curls, sparkly top, and impressive cleavage were not what Brodie had pictured.

Emma Cassidy is tough and smart and sexy as hell. She’s also popping up a step ahead of him every time he’s close to the capture he wants most . . . and there’s no room for learning on the trail of this monster.

Emma has idolized Luke Brodie, the bounty hunter who can bring anyone in. The big man in the soft shoes, with a face like a fallen angel and a reputation for breaking hearts. Watching him in action is intoxicating. But her fight with Rudy Vance is fiercely personal. If he gets too close, Brodie will find out just how ferocious she can be . . .

Into the Firestorm is the 3rd book in the BOSS, Inc series, penned by Kat Martin. I thought it was the best out of the series so far. The reason, the plot, the plot, the plot. Not to say that I am easy, but when an author can hold my attention longer than a chapter, then I know that I am in it for the remainder of the book.

Emma Cassidy didn’t want to become a bounty hunter, it was forced upon her. When her young niece was raped and the same man attempted to do it again. Emma decided to take the law into her own hands to bring the man to justice. But, to do so, she must outwit the top bounty hunter Luke Brodie.

Into the Firestorm was an enjoyable book from the beginning, middle, and end. This book is a keeper. A must read for readers who like strong female characters who can go toe to toe with a strong dominating alpha male.

In the finale of Katie Reus Red Stone Security series. You have a second chance at love story. He knew that if he could prove to Isa that he would never hurt her again that maybe there is a chance for them to have what he wanted most…Isa in his life forever.

As a second chance, love story goes. Lethal Game wasn’t too bad. The characters were somewhat likable. The story had a nice pace. Lethal Game had a perfect ending to close out a wonderful series.

Print Length: 193 pages

Characters: Killian, Holly

Golden starGolden starGolden star

The bestselling author of Devil’s Honor returns with a deliciously sinful novel about a good girl who goes bad—and the notorious Louisiana biker who can’t resist the lure of forbidden fruit.

Holly Chambless is tired of being the squeaky-clean daughter of Lagrange’s holier-than-thou mayor. When her father is charged with corruption, she realizes that her whole life’s been a lie. Now’s her chance to do all the things she never dared, like scoring a job at a bar where reputations go to die, or reconnecting with the biker who sparked a secret hunger in her all those years ago, Holly isn’t a wide-eyed girl anymore—and this time she wants a taste of what has always been denied.

Killian “Uptown” Chenier has no time for stuck-up princesses. He likes fast bikes and wild sex. Sure, he remembers Holly. He sent her running with a wicked smile and a lesson about prying eyes. And sure, she’s grown up smoking-hot, with a body he’d like to personally desecrate. But Devil’s Keepers business is real and intense. Her daddy stole from the club, leaving his pretty blonde daughter a walking target. And when Uptown takes aim at what he wants, he never misses.

So, I like this book better than the first. In many ways, this book had what Devil’s Honor didn’t…romance. Devil’s Mark is book #2 in The Devil’s Keepers Series. it was still hard to connect with the characters. The storyline had a steady pace, but the characters needed more development than what the length of the book provided. Other than the lack of character development the story was engaging.

Lucas St. Clair’s prestigious family had a political future neatly planned out for him—one that didn’t include his high school sweetheart, Mia Ramon. Under their pressure, Lucas gave her up. But since surviving captivity, he’s a changed man—and a crucial member of ARES Security. When he discovers a dead man clutching a picture of Mia that bears a threatening message, his fiercest protective instincts kick in, and he knows he must go to her.

Mia has never forgiven Lucas for breaking her heart, and she’s convinced her feelings for him are in the past. But it’s soon clear that isn’t true for either of them. Now, determined to solve the crime and keep Mia safe, with his ARES buddies backing him up, Lucas will have to reconstruct the murder victim’s last days—and follow a lethal trail that leads right back to the fate of the woman he still loves…

Whereas Kill Without Mercy had me enthralled to see what happens next Kill Without Shame not so much. All through the book I felt that I read this book before. I knew who the culprit was before the person was introduced, and I knew why. The story flowed at a nice pace and the character like in the previous book was developed nicely too. But the mystery behind the attacks on Mia, wasn’t a big secret for me.

Kill Without Shame…if you haven’t read the first book Kill Without Mercy, it’s not a big deal…this title could be read as a standalone without a reading getting lost. But you might want to sooner or later to take advantage of the full entertainment value of the series.

Even though this book didn’t meet the high-quality standards of the first book. I am hoping to finish ARES Security series to see where Alexander Ivy is planning to go with it.

I also know there is one story I want to read about and that might just be the story that might make reading this series worth wild.

Kia is a dream Chase has not allowed himself to entertain. Now that he has her, it’s her heart he’s after and he’s determined to win it, no matter the cost. And even though they both agreed that it would only be for pleasure, a feeling deeper than all-consuming lust and illicit pleasure has taken hold of them…

Being estranged from a family member would be hard on a person, but it’s even worse when he was your twin. Chase has gone through a lot and to finally get his twin back, just to almost loose him again, took a toll on any personal relationships that he decides to have with any women.

Now that he finally got Kia, even though they both came to the decision that it’s only for the pleasure, came to ahead in the 2nd part of Only Pleasure, when an unknown enemy of Chase elects that attacking Kia was the way to get to Chase.

Whereas, Only Pleasure Part 1 was about the pleasure… Part 2 is about the emotional entanglement that Kia and Chase would have to face to determine if it’s only about the pleasure.

Again, this book ended in a perfect spot, and the development of Kia Chase relationship was more felt than it was in the 1st part.
