When she ran, she didn’t think he’d follow…

Pack princess Alyssa Clare was trying to come up with ways to get out of her arranged mating to alpha wolf Reece O’Shea—until she meets the powerful male. After getting to know him, mating doesn’t seem like such a bad idea anymore. But when he makes it clear she’s just a business arrangement for him and his pack, she calls off the mating and heads south to stay with a friend to lick her wounds in private.

But he’s not willing to let her go without a fight.

Reece can’t let Alyssa go, not when he’s completely fallen for the sweet, sexy female. He doesn’t care about the arranged mating deal, he just wants her and has no idea why she ran. To win her back he infiltrates another alpha’s territory, knowing it could mean his death. Luckily Grant Kincaid allows him in his domain—as long as Alyssa is okay with it. Convincing her that she’s all he wants is a bigger challenge than he imagined. But he’s not giving up, because he knows she’s the one he’s meant to be with forever.

My Review: Savannah Stuart has done it again. To Catch His Mate was a really good book. This book was about how eavesdropping is never good for anyone. Alyssa Clare was unsure about the arranged mating to alpha wolf Reece O’Shea until she and her father was invited to visit. Once she met Reece and got to know him she grew to like him, and that mating to Reece didn’t seem so bad. Until that fateful day she overheard Reece telling a pack mate that the mating to her was a business arrangement and nothing more.

How, can she mate a man who thought of her as nothing more than property to secure his packs future. She did the only thing that a women or wolf should do in this situation; she calls off the mating and heads south to stay with a friend to heal and somehow forget Reece.

Unknowing that his words were over heard by Alyssa, Reece is left wondering why the woman that he has fallen for has suddenly called the mating off. In order to get some answer he first has to track Alyssa down. And once he does that, the chase was on. Reece and Alyssa story was a very enjoyable, entertaining story to read. The only downside was their story was so short, but then again that is why they call short stories “NOVELLAS”

Desert Wolf (Wolves of Willow Bend Book 8)

Cassius, Alpha of Sutter Butte, leads the most ruthless and dangerous pack in the United States. Misfits, castoffs, and forgotten wolves, they rose to create a pack more than a century ago in utter defiance of the order of the day. Seen as pitiless and cruel, Cassius wants more for his people than a yearly bloodbath as they fight for a better spot in the pecking order. To change his pack means to change himself, and he will find rebellion on all sides, not to mention from his own defiant heart.
Sovvan Stark, Omega of Delta Crescent, lives a cherished, beloved life in the center of her pack–a delicate and hard won balance. Though she is not the only Omega, she is the most experienced with the tremors of pack upset when power shifts from Alpha to Alpha. When her Alpha approaches her about Sutter Butte’s request, Sovvan considers the matter for several months. While she might hold within her the key to helping the Sutter Butte Alpha, the undertaking could very well kill her.

My Review: Each time I read one of Heather Long books, the better I am getting to love how she brings to life two characters. Cassius was a ruthless leader. Not because he wanted to be, but; because he had to be. However, as the years pass. Cassius knew that his pack has earned and deserved more than what they have been given, that of a yearly bloodbath. So to better the life for his pack and himself, he knew that changes must be made. So he requested the assistance of Sovvan Stark, Omega of Delta Crescent.

Once Sovvan arrive at Sutter Butte turbulence among the Sutter Butte pack started to occur and the closer that the reaping gets the worse the discontent became.

Desert Wolf was a truly magnificent book from start to finish. The characters are interesting and well written. You want to know when a book is good. It’s when you laugh when the characters are amused and you cry when the characters are miserable. Well; Desert Wolf is that good. I felt every emotion the characters were feeling. And when I turned the last virtual page it left me craving more.

Reserve your copy of Desert Wolf you will be thankful that you did.

In the Company of Wolves (SWAT)

He opened his mouth to order her to drop the MP5 she had aimed at him, but nothing would come out. It was like she’d robbed him of the ability to speak. Shooting her wasn’t an option, though. And the idea of arresting her didn’t make him feel any better.

There’s a new gang of criminals in town who are organized and ruthless in the extreme. When Eric Becker, along with the rest of the Dallas SWAT team, ends up in the middle of a shootout, he immediately senses werewolves-a lot of them. Turns out, the new bad guys are a pack of wolf shifters.

In a spray of gunfire, Becker comes face-to-face with the most gorgeous woman he’s ever seen. Becker does the logical thing. He hides her and leaves the scene with the rest of his team.

Jayna Winston has no idea why that SWAT guy helped her, but she’s glad he did. Ever since she and her pack mates got mixed up with those Eastern European mobsters, everything had pretty much fallen apart.

So what’s a street-savvy thief like Jayna going to do with a hot alpha-male wolf who’s a police officer?

My Review: Wow, Just Wow, The action is nonstop and topnotch is some of what other Top notch book reviewers are saying about Paige Tyler latest installment in the Swat: Special Wolf Alpha Team Saga. With her latest book titled In the Company of Wolves you could not help just say the same thing. Jayna Winston comes from a trouble past but with one attack her whole world changed. Getting mixed up with an Eastern European mobster organization wasn’t her decision, it was her Alpha and what a beta to do if not to take orders from her Alpha or does a newly turned wolf have choices especially when a heist goes wrong and she is holding a MP5 at no other than another Alpha. However, this Alpha was no other than Eric Becker a SWAT team member who at one glance has an instant attraction to Jayna.

In The Company of Wolves was a fast pace hot, action packed read from the beginning, what surprised me is how fast the time flew by while reading. If you haven’t had the pleasure of reading the other story in this series I would advise you do so. Even though these books are stand-alone you wouldn’t want to miss not one title in this series. Paige Tyler would provide you with hours of entertainment with a strong, sizzling story about love at first site and if that doesn’t capture your fancy how about Eric Becker a man who would do anything for his love even if it means butting heads with his own pack.

Harvest Moon (The Moon Series #4)

Some wolves were never meant for a mate…

Dr. Jason Ayers unleashes all of his rage and his frustration through fists and brute force in an underground boxing ring. The werewolf may be the pack’s doctor, but he can’t even heal his coma-stricken father after the Nero Organization’s attack stopped his heart. And as his Pack brothers settle down around him, he still refuses to believe in the fairy tale notion that every wolf has a true mate…

In hiding and on the run, Nurse Kilani Akamu is a loose end that Nero is desperate to tie up. She can’t afford to be attracted to a doctor-especially one as unexpectedly hot and complex as Jason. Yet the sexual sparks arcing between them are undeniable…and Kilani’s precognitive senses warn her that temptation is inevitable.

All it takes is one touch to send Jason’s wolf howling. But even if he could protect her from Nero, he can’t protect her from himself…

My Review: Harvest moon would be the first book I read in The Moon Series written by Lisa Kessler and would be the first book I read by this author. Harvest Moon is a first person narration for that alone I almost given up on reading this book. In that I would have missed out on an excellent story. Jason & Kilani story was one addictive book. I can actually say that this book had me try to find the other three books in the series to see what I’ve missed in the way of story lines.

Harvest Moon had as on a journey of learning to forgive oneself. Jason thought that being a doctor for the pack that he would be able to heal everyone. However, he learned that wasn’t so when his dad was attacked. To relieve some of the rage and frustration he partakes in fighting in an underground boxing club.

Kilani was a nurse who is on the run for her life from an organization who had her roommate murdered. Kilani is the only loose, alone the way she meets Jason who knows everything there was to know about the organization “Nero” for it was the same organization that is hunting Kilani that had his father attacked. Now Kilani has to decide if she can trust Jason with her life and with her heart.

Worth the Risk (Miami Scorcher Series Book 2)

One man is getting in the way of her revenge . . . her mate.

When she meets alpha werewolf Stephan and realizes he’s her mate, all her carefully laid plans dissipate in seconds. By all accounts, she should hate Stephan and everything he stands for. Unfortunately, every time the dominating wolf gets close, she can’t deny her growing attraction for the last man in the world she expected to want.

But things aren’t what they seem. . .

She saves his life and his cover when he almost shifts in the middle of a crowded Miami nightclub, but that doesn’t mean he trusts her. The clock is ticking and if he doesn’t figure out what secrets the sexy she-wolf is keeping from him, he might not just lose his job, but his life in the process.

My Review: Savannah Stuart has done it again. I had the opportunity to read Worth the Risk; well it’s also Worth the Read. The description doesn’t do this book justice.

Marisol Cabrera was on a mission that was to kill the man who murdered her entire pack.

Stephan Lazos too was on a mission to take down a man who the DEA thinks is smuggling drugs, at the nightclub for where the meeting was taking place, he finds his mate. It wasn’t a good time when he was in a middle of a sting operation, but when his protection for his mate takes front row seat will his mission be a failure or will both succeed on their secret mission.

Worth the Risk was an excellent book from start to finish; now I can’t wait to read her next book. The connection between these two was hot that it singed my fingers, or it could be my kindle is malfunctioning.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Worth the Risk was previously published elsewhere. It has been revised and edited.

Elizabeth’s Wolf (Breed Book 4)

She brought him back from death and made him live again. Dash thought himself alone, a soldier, a fighting machine and no more. Elizabeth made him realize he was a man. Danger surrounds the woman his soul marked as his mate, death and blood and a treachery that goes beyond even his worst nightmares. But he will protect her and what she claims as her own. He was created to kill, trained to do it efficiently, and only a man bound to her, heart and soul, will have the strength to save Elizabeth and her prized possession. He was a lone wolf. A man alone. No pack, no family, no one to call his own until one single, innocent letter awoke Elizabeth’s wolf.

My Review: There are just some books that ask to be read repeatedly and Elizabeth’s Wolf by Lora Leigh is one of those books. I never wrote a review and meant to get around to it, so after reading this book for the 15th time here it goes.

After a failed mission gone wrong which left Dash team all dead and Dash slowing wanted to die; only one thing kept him going a letter from a sweet little girl. Her letters kept him going until one day he was told that the little girl and her mother have died. But a mystery starts to unfold when he receives another letter from the same little girl. She and her mother are both on the run. It would be up to Dash to save them before their enemy claims them.

Elizabeth’s Wolf was a seriously great book. Of course it had to be great if I read it 15 times. This story will never get old no matter how many times you read it. The plot was gripping and once Dash meets up with Elizabeth and her very mysterious daughter, the action really picks up.

This book had everything a reading like me enjoys in a romance; mystery with a lot of hot passion thrown in for good measure.

So if you haven’t read Elizabeth’s Wolf the 4th book in the Wolf Breeds series make sure you pick up a copy. You won’t regret it.

My Review: As you my fellow readers may know. I started reading Wolves of Willow Bend late and that the first title I started with was Rive Wolf #7 which you can find my review about that title here if you are new to my site.

Well I enjoyed that book so much I wanted to catch up with the other story to see how they added up with book #7. That series started with Wolf Bite and I just have to say “WOW”, I really enjoyed Wolf Bite it all started with one challenge and foreseen challenge that left his father dead and his mother winding up taking her own life. Invincible Book Review

Mercenary by name and by nature, Carson is a Lakota Sioux who stays to himself and never keeps women around long enough for anything emotional to develop. But working with his friend Cash Grier on a complex murder investigation provides Carson with another kind of fun—shocking Cash’s sweet but traditional secretary, Carlie Blair, with tales of his latest conquests.

My Take: Seriously you can’t go wrong reading one of Diana Palmer’s books, they will leave you breathless and wanting more. Invincible is a good example. What I love about this book was the characters Carson and Carlie. Carlie your average every day women, with higher to normal IQ with a photographic memory is in love with Carson. She is also strong and personable to me Carson was in love with Carlie to but like some men doesn’t want to admit that the feelings were there. Carson maybe strong and what I would like to call an “Alpha” male, he is wise enough to ask for assistance when its vital to protect Carlie when danger come knocking at her door.
Invincible has lots of passion, thrills and plenty of suspense.
