Romantic Suspense BESTSELLER • Will his stubbornness prevent him from trusting the woman he desires? In Sheila Kell’s provocative novel of suspicion and need, a handsome security specialist and a feisty FBI agent are tied by grief and attraction… and the fervor of the unknown.

He’s stubborn. She’s independent. Together, desire will determine their future.

Hamilton Investigation & Security leader, Jesse Hamilton, swears never to love again. The risk of losing his heart is too painful. Burying himself in work and caring for his daughter, he doesn’t expect strong-willed FBI Special Agent Kate Ross to break down his carefully constructed walls.

When Kate is injured, Jesse pulls the full force of HIS into action to protect her. He refuses to be the reason behind another senseless death. Making a decision that could cost Kate her life, Jesse must decide just how far he’s willing to go to save the woman his heart desires.

FBI Special Agent Kate Ross was attempting to keep her appreciation for her partner’s sibling a mystery. Jesse Hamilton promises to never love again after a corner store robbery left him bringing up his little baby girl alone. Be that as it may, he wasn’t expecting to be attracted to one Kate Ross.

Presently both their lives will come full circles. With one shot of a projectile from a drive-by shooter. The race is on to make sense of Why the individual needed both murdered.

HIS Desire was a speedy carefree enterprise, loaded with a lot of tension, a heap of chemistry between the two fundamental characters. In Sheila Kell first book in HIS Series. We discover that only an appearance or believing that a man or woman is appealing can be hazardous to the next individual wellbeing.

I was enchanted in reading His Desire. The plot was immersing and in the communication amongst Jesse and Kate was beguiling. I adored how Sheila Kell finished His Desire, it set up the story to her next title in HIS series “HIS Choice” the story about Jesse’s sibling, and Kate’s partner … AJ Hamilton.

HIS Desire is the first stand-alone book in the HIS Series with a happy ending for Jesse and Kate.

First in Katie Ruggle’s thrilling new Rocky Mountain K9 Unit series.

He lost his mentor.
He lost his K9 partner.
He almost lost his will to live.
But when a killer obsessed with revenge targets a beautiful woman on the run, Theo and his new K9 companion will do whatever it takes to save Jules before they lose their last chance at a happily ever after

Theodore Bosco, grieving the death of his partner, is reluctantly fascinated by secretive newcomer Jules. Although his instincts scream that he should avoid her, he can’t seem to stay away. It doesn’t help that Theo’s new K9 companion, Viggy, has fallen head over paws with Jules’s rambunctious family.

Or that when he’s with Jules, Theo finally knows peace.

When Jules kidnapped her siblings, whisking them away from abuse to the quiet anonymity of the Colorado Rockies, she never expected to catch the eye-or the heart-of a cop. All it would take is one wrong move and she’ll lose everything. Yet as Jules attempts to fight her growing attraction to the brooding K9 officer, another deadly threat lurks much closer to home. Someone’s gunning for Theo and Viggy, and they’re willing to take out anything…or anyone…who gets in the way of revenge.

Depression is difficult to tally, but depression takes the measurable form of one contemplating or commenting suicide. “Although suicide can’t be predicted or prevented knowing the warning signs can help you recognize when you or a loved one may be at risk” Depression and Suicide: Recognizing the Signs. (n.d.). Retrieved from http://www.webmd.com/depression/depre…

In Run To Ground, the 1st title in Katie Ruggle new series “Rocky Mountain K9 Unit” We see the after effects of depression/suicide.

Theodore lost his best friend, and partner. He too almost lost his will to live. Until the force assigned him a new partner. And when Jules life is jeopardy from a unknown person out to kill her, it would be up to Theo and Viggy to uncover the plot.

Run To Ground may carry a heavy message, but it was fairly light-hearted in the telling. The character grew on me after the first Chapter. I couldn’t turn the page fast enough to find out who the unknown person was and the reason for going after Jules.
Run To Ground may carry a heavy message, but it was fairly light-hearted in the telling. It was a compelling story that will have you anxiously waiting for the next installment. Especially with the huge cliffhanger at the end.

Run to Ground (Rocky Mountain K9 Unit Book 1)

Talen (Dark Protectors, #7.76)

Talen by Rebecca Zanetti

My rating:

Publisher: Lyrical Press

Publication Date: June 6, 2017

Print Length: 96 pages

I have been a blogger for just about three years now. 😊 It has been a journey to come this far. Thank you, everyone, who’s following my blog from the conception. But as life has shown us. It’s forever changing and evolving. So, like life…I too must evolve. To begin this transformation, I will start with the way I rate my books. Nothing too huge. For even though life changes, I am only human, and as such, don’t really care for change.

But I am doing away with the plain looking stars. Yep, gone and forever shall we part. Out with the old in with the new. Yearwood La Novela is going animated. Thus, depending on how great the book was, will depend on what the animation shall be. To implement this modification. I thought that Talen should be the perfect book to do the big reveal.

Again, thanks to all my old followers and hello new ones. On to the book review.

She’ll love him forever . . . but he can’t make her obey . . .

The war is over. Danger has passed. Cara Kayrs is healed after decades of illness and ready for a break.

Too bad her brooding, alpha vampire husband can’t seem to change gears. In their twenty-five years, together Talen Kayrs has learned to sense every shiver of her body, to ignite her desire with a word or a look. She would think he could learn she’s not some fragile damsel in distress.

But Talen is on edge, watching their backs, treating her like she’s made of glass. Like there’s something following them, a deadly threat that somehow none of their intelligence has uncovered. It’s enough to drive a woman crazy, and Talen has plenty of those tendencies already.

But what’s even more maddening is that he seems to be right . . .

Never think something is ever complete. As author knows that when a character speaks to you, it must be time to write their story. Well, Talen and Cara spoke to Rebecca Zanetti. Their journey wasn’t finished like we thought.  We see that it has been twenty-fives years that Talen and Cara have been married. That they’re happily married with two adult children and one adorable grandchild. What we also see, is Talen being Talen. That’s right…you would think that after twenty-five years and there’s peace among demons that Talen would stop being over protective. Nope! And like Talen is found saying “I have lived over a decade, to know that peace is short lived.” Not a perfect quote, but you see what I mean. But later you would understand that Talen is never wrong. Because no sooner, then they leave the house demons are hot on their trail. And their mission is to capture Cara.
It is not too often, that authors revisit old characters, and we as readers get to see our beloved characters once more and to see how they’re faring. You would think once that character or characters story has been told that its the end of it. But it’s nice to know, we can never assume anything.

Like in their original story, Talen is again a badass, out to prove that he is still nothing to mess with….in war or peace time. And when it comes to protecting Cara he would do absolutely anything.

For Talen to be a short novella, it didn’t take long for me to fall in love with Talen and Cara all over again. I think this might be true for you.

“I see a man. He is old. Very old. He will come into your life in a moment of danger. He will watch over you and protect you.” The gypsy’s hand gripped Tessa’s tighter. “He will bring you death,” she whispered, her voice like the rustle of dry leaves. “And life.”

Ten years later, when Andrei Dinescu saves Tessa from a vicious attacker, she has no idea that the handsome stranger the gypsy fortune teller predicted is not a hunter but a seven-hundred-year-old vampire. Darkly powerful, unbelievably compelling, he is obviously pursuing Tessa, but is it her love he’s after or her blood?

When it comes to writing vampire romance, Amanda Ashley is one of the best. But with her latest vampire romance “Fire in the Blood” it was just okay. The plotline was kind of interesting when I read the description. But Fire in the Blood couldn’t get past the description. It hurt me to say that this book wasn’t one of Amanda Ashley best. The story was slow and the chemistry between the two characters felt rushed.

I did like the twist on the blood. And the secondary characters of Bailey and Tristan. But other than that, Fire in the Blood was an okay read just not a great read.

Stieg Engstrom, Angriest Viking Ever, has got big problems. The human Viking Clans of earth are in danger of being obliterated—along with the rest of the world—and the only one who may be able to save them is a super pain-in-the-ass Crow. Most people annoy Stieg, but this is the one woman he really can’t stand…

Erin Amsel loves being a Crow! Why wouldn’t she when the other Viking Clans are so hilariously arrogant and humorless? She’s not about to let all that come to an end! She just didn’t expect to be shoulder to shoulder in battle with Stieg. Then again, he’s so easy to torment—and also kind of cute.

With the future of the world riding on them, Stieg knows he’ll have to put aside his desperate need to kiss the smirk right off Erin’s face. Wait. What? He didn’t mean that—did he? No! They have one goal: To conquer the idiots. Because nothing bugs Stieg more than when idiots win. If only he can keep himself from suddenly acting like one…

So far, I have read all shelly Laurenston Call of Crows series. I’ve must say that Unyielding was the funniest of them all. Only Erin Amsel could make getting shot a funny thing. But after a while, even Erin started to take it personally. Now with the world in the danger of being obliterated, it’s up to Erin to save it. But she would not be alone because Stieg has the honor of protecting this insane woman on this danger mission.

I think what made this book so entertaining was the banter between Stieg and Erin. Same of the conversations that they have were some of the funniest yet.

So if you’re in a bum mood try picking up a copy of Unyielding this book will definitely brighten up your day.

If you enjoy action adventure along with plenty of romance, well look no further.  M. L. Buchman has written a fantastic story.

This story reminded me of the movie Delta Force. I loved that movie, and as such I really enjoyed this book.

With Melissa Moore taking the lead in Heart Strike, she wanted to be the first women every to make the Delta Team, but she had to settle for being the second women ever to make the team. What started her on the road of becoming the best warrior, was trenched in grief with the loss of her brother on an icy mountaintop.

Melissa first assignment takes her in the jungle of Columbia where her skills are put to the test…but thanks to her new team, especially technical wizard Richie Goldman, this dangerous mission might be a walk in the park.

Heart Strike was a fast pace, nonstop action romance…with kick ass women that will give their men counterparts a ran for their money.

Heart Strike is that perfect book that you won’t be able to put down until the very last page.

Gone Too Deep (Search and Rescue #3)

In the remote Rocky Mountains, lives depend on the Search & Rescue brotherhood. But in a place this far off the map, trust is hard to come by and secrets can be murder…

George Holloway has spent his life alone, exploring the treacherous beauty of the Colorado Rockies. He’s the best survival expert Search and Rescue has, which makes him the obvious choice to lead Ellie Price through deadly terrain to find her missing father. There’s just one problem-Ellie’s everything George isn’t. She’s a city girl, charming, gregarious, delicate, small. And when she looks up at him with those big, dark eyes, he swears he would tear the world apart to keep her safe.

With a killer on the loose, he may have no choice.

Ellie’s determined to find her father no matter the cost. But as she and her gorgeous mountain of a guide fight their way through an unforgiving wilderness, they find themselves in the crosshairs of a dangerous man in search of revenge. And they are now his prey…

My Review: Gone Too Deep is the 3rd book in the Search and Rescue series written by Katie Ruggle. Even though I didn’t read the first book I did have the opportunity to read the 2nd book in this series Fan the Flames coming out in June 7. Well in this book we get the back story on George Holloway. Who knew that I would fall in love with the strong and silent type…describe George perfectly. George was the go to man if you needed to locate someone in the Rockies. Well that is what Ellie needed was the best to locate and rescue her father from himself or so she thought. What Ellie thought was her father mad ravings turn out to be so much more. Someone other than Ellie was looking for her father and that someone has now turned their attention towards Ellie.

Gone Too Deep was very exciting, thrilling and suspenseful. A Sexy read with strong characters. Can’t wait to read what happens next.
