    Seeing is believing...

Thomas Brown can't see color, but he can see people's true souls. His abilities allow him to work with criminal investigators and deliver justice to families of the wronged. And he's starting to accept that his life will forever be in black and white...

Then he encounters Helena Grayse, and everything changes. She brings vibrant color to his world, and he brings acceptance and belief to hers. But Helena's past is quickly catching up with her, and Thomas is in the crosshairs.

As an enemy hidden in plain sight threatens their every move, they'll have to rely on their love to beat the darkness.

Also in this series: Race The Darkness, Hunt the Dawn

A sinister and romantic love story of intrigue and inspiring tale of perseverance.

Never Let Me Fall, is the 3rd book in the Fatal Dreams series by Abbie Roads. I read all the books in Fatal Dreams series, this title like the last didn’t disappoint when it came to the romance and the intrigue.

Helena Grayse knows terror, and she knows pain. Incarcerated for the slaying of her boyfriend. She spent 10 years fiending of attacks by a group of inmates known as the Sisters. Ten years of being stabbed, beaten and other known atrocities known to man. In that entire time, she spent on dreaming of the day, she can finally escape the horror of Fairson.

Thomas Brown has lived his entire life in black and white. Still capable of delivery justices to families that have been wronged. And in all that time, Thomas was hiding a deep dark secret if his own. A dark secret that has finally been revealed through a posthumous letter, written by his mother.

I truly loved this story. Both Thomas and Helena both refuse to let the horrors of their life, define who they were as human beings. Never Let Me Fall, went on to prove….though life can be vicious at times, it can also be merciful.

All thumbs up for Never Let Me Fall, with a high recommendation to all readers who loves a good mystery intrigue and the supernatural.

Note: Even though this is book #3 in the Fatal Dream Series, Never Let Me Fall can be read as a stand-alone. But take it from me. Its better to read this series from the beginning, to experience the awesomeness that is FATAL DREAMS

    About Abbie Roads

Abbie Roads loves Snickers Parfaits and acrylic pour painting. It’s her new obsession. The pour painting. Not the parfaits. Though the parfaits would qualify as an obsession too. She spends her days a mental health counselor always looking on the brightside, but at night she likes to write dark and dangerous things—with kissing and sexy times. She loves reading inspirational quotes and stories about serial killers. She is married to her favorite fellow and they have two cranky old rescue dogs that are not spoiled. Not at all. Okay. Maybe a little. Alright, the dogs are terribly spoiled, but they do give lots of cuddles and kisses in return.

Werewolf SWAT Officer Jayden Brooks has yet to meet The One—but when he rescues teacher Selena Rosa from a hostage situation at her high school, he knows he’s in trouble. Her scent is irresistible.

There’s a reason for that powerful scent—and it isn’t an expensive perfume. Thanks to the traumatizing events at the school, the werewolf gene flipped on and Selena’s going through the change. Even scarier, she’s on track to become an omega—an out-of-control and violent breed. It’s going to take everything Brooks has if he wants any chance to pull her back from the edge…and ultimately win her heart.

What a great way to wrap up this spooky month of October.

Nothing is like ending the day with a good book. I chose Paige Taylor’s book Wolf Rising, book #8 in the SWAT series. The book started like all the rest in the series, explaining how the hero or heroine first turned. What I thought was interesting about Wolf Rising is how Taylor took what is happing in our schools and incorporated into Wolf Rising story. I want to give props to Paige because she didn’t overdramatize or romanticize the topic.

In Wolf Rising, Jayden Brooks was an officer but when responding to a call at a local school, of a man wielding a knife, he didn’t know by responding to that call, his life would never be the same.

Selena Rosa a school teacher who wanted to save her students from the life she herself escaped from. The life of living with gangs. Selena lost her brother during a gang war, she refuses to lose one of her students to that life. She put all her time and efforts towards keeping her students in the classroom and boosting their confidence. Until a gang member enters the school trying to recruit members. Selena again put her words into action and put her life on the line, to the put that her actions had consequences that even she didn’t know about.

Once again it was Brooks and his elite team of brothers who answered that call. But where one life change at the beginning of the story, two individual’s life will be altered by the end.

Wolf Rising, a fantastic quick story that any fan of paranormal romance will come to enjoy. I loved the chemistry between Brooks and Selena. It was even a plus when Selena turns out to be a wolf shifter, but not your everyday variety shifter but an Omega.

Wolf Rising, a PNR you will most certainly want to add to your bookshelf. A unique story that will keep you entertained well into the night.

    Out of darkness and danger...

You can’t hide your secrets from Lathan Montgomery—he can read your darkest memories. And while his special abilities are invaluable in the FBI’s hunt for a serial killer, he has no way to avoid the pain that brings him. Until he is drawn to courageous, down-on-her-luck Evanee Brown and finds himself able to offer her something he’s never offered another human being: himself.

Dawns a unique and powerful love

Nightmares are nothing new to Evanee Brown. But once she meets Lathan, they plummet into the realm of the macabre. Murder victims are reaching from beyond the grave to give Evanee evidence that could help Lathan bring a terrifying killer to justice. Together, they could forge an indomitable partnership to thwart violence, abuse, and death—if they survive the forces that seek to tear them apart.

There might be a mixed bag on who likes the book or who could have done without. But this reviewer is in the category of the ones who likes the book.

Hunt the Dawn written by Abbie Roads has taken the phrase “I See Dead People” to a whole new level. In the second installment in her Fatal Dream series, we’re introduced to two special people who are connected by more than sharing the same zip code, by more than the attraction they have for each other. They are connected by their ability to apprehend a Serial Killer.  With Lathan ability to receive images by smell and Evanee’s gift to bring things back from the dream world. These two make up a heck of a team.

The phrase that came to mind after completing this book was “When they met it was Murder”. Yes, I was a big fan of Heart to Heart. When Lathan is out to stop a serial killer, he didn’t have any time to find love, especially being the way he was. But one night on his way home, he witnesses a woman being harassed, there was something special about the woman that he rushed to her assistance, and everything from there changed for him and especially for Evanee.

Evanee had a terrible childhood. A childhood that no child of five should have endured. Now a woman, she still put up with the same harassment. Until one day a hero intervened and in Evanee’s eyes no matter how different Lathan was, he would always be her champion.

I loved this book better than Race The Darkness. I don’t know…it was just something about these two that drew me in. Maybe it was the prejudices that these two had to face and overcome. Whatever, the case maybe this book is a must-read.

Note: Even though this is book #2 in the Fatal Dream Series, Hunt the Dawn can be read as a stand-alone.

Race the Darkness is the first book in the Fatal Dreams series penned by Abbie Roads. This would be my first but not my last book by Abbie Roads because I must as a reader and a reviewer must finish what I started. Plus, this book was phenomenal.

If you can grab my attention from chapter one,  I am all into finishing the book. But with Race the Darkness I wasn’t expecting this phenomenal writing

With just one accident Xander Stone life was changed. Now he has the ability to hear people thoughts, not but touch he just has to be in the vicinity of the person(s), Maybe that is why when there is a witness that the police want to crack, they call in Xander.

However, Xander doesn’t like the gift or nightmare that he has. No Xander struggles with the power that will not give him peace, solitude is all he is looking for. Trying to find his relief in the bottle and even that doesn’t restrain the voice from coming through speaking just two words “HELP ME”.

Isleen Walker long since given up hope of being rescued. Being tortured by a zealot nut case, she too seeks peace, and to is unable to find it. Until one day her hero finally arrived.

With Isleen found Xander assumed that the voice shall haunt him know more. But he learns that the danger to Isleen is not yet over and that a greater force is involved.

Race the Darkness, a dark paranormal thriller that sets this series up pretty nicely that it has this reviewer saying “Is the next book out yet”

Terry spear will start of your holiday season with a bang or mystery intrigue. A Silver Wolf Christmas which goes on sale October 6, 2015, takes us back to Silver Town.

Laurel MacTire and her two sisters purchased a hotel that was left abandoned fifty years ago; purchasing the hotel wasn’t the only reason that the sisters came to Silver Town. The disappearance of their aunt and finding out what truly happened to her was. Laurel wasn’t expecting along the way to find her mate but a mate she does find in the form of CJ Silver.

CJ has his own problems so not long ago he and his own brothers left Silver Town on the eve of their father’s death returning eagerly to reconnect with the wolf pack that he used to call family and with the new addition to Silver Town this holiday season looks to be a joyous one.

The character was well developed and not three dimensional. The chemistry between Laurel and CJ was actually believable. The only negative side was the story dragged in spots.
