A Wyoming rancher finds love where he least expects it in this heartwarming second-chance romance

Micah Torrance could use a helping hand. Between managing his expansive Wyoming ranch and caring for his willful little girl, Janey, Micah’s plate is more than full. Usually, it’s not in this cowboy’s nature to ask, but when beautiful Karina Carter offers her help, Micah can’t resist. With her sweet smile and her easy way with Janey, Micah wants to trust her. But he knows better than anyone that love only leads to heartbreak.

Champion ice-skater Karina Carter needs a fresh start while her body heals. Caring for little Janey is just temporary until she can get back on the ice—or so she keeps telling herself. But the longer she spends with this gorgeous single dad, the more drawn she is to him and the family they could share. Now if only she can convince him that she’s here to stay, this new life with him could be beyond her wildest dreams.

Who abducted Diana Palmer?

I am a huge fan of Diana Palmer. I began reading her books in my early adult years. But recently, I noticed a huge change in her writing. Where are the strong, capable women? Women who were capable of handling domineering males in a romance story.   In the last past several books all Diana Palmer female characters were too timid, to the point that the female characters became 2D. There are aspects in DP latest book, that has become a norm for all her female characters. They must be virginal and weak. I don’t mind that a female can be pure. But come on, weak to the point that she becomes a doormat to the first man to shows a slight interest in her…. Enough of my ranting onto the review.

Diana Palmer takes us into the world of figure skating.

Wyoming Legend, the 8th book in Diana Palmer’s Wyoming Men series, published under the Harlequin brand. When champion ice-skater, Karina “Miranda Tanner”, whose life and dream where to be on the US Olympic Team, suffered an icing accident. Karina must now ponder if her dream was just that.…Dreams.

Caring for little Janey was supposed to be temporary. Something to do until her body heals or come to a decision if she should hang up her skates for good. But the longer she spends with the Torrance family, the more she is drawn to put down roots away from the spotlight. Until little Janey Torrance becomes Karina inspiration to go for the Gold!

Wyoming Legend was okay. It was interesting enough to maintain my focus long enough to complete which in my eyes is a good thing. I didn’t want Wyoming Legend to become the first title of Diana Palmer books that I wrote off as a DNF.

You might be wanting to ask; will I stop reading books by Diana Palmer? The answer to this question will be…. no. However, it might come down to if I am willing to purchase her titles or just borrow the book from my local library.

All, of the titles in Diana Palmer’s Long Tall Texans was fun and entertaining. I have these titles handy for those times I want to read a Diana Palmer book. What book by Diana Palmer that you find you can’t stop reading. Leave your answer below.

#1 bestselling author Lora Leigh is back--with a vengeance--in her latest novel of passion and intrigue, Dagger's Edge, featuring the men of Brute Force.

Ivan Resnova wants nothing more than to escape his hard, brutal past. Starting over is not so easy once you've been a powerful crime boss but now, instead of being punished for his alleged crimes, Ivan fears that the one woman he can't forget is in danger of paying the price.

Crimsyn "Syn" Delaney thought the danger she'd faced was over, and that she could resume her life. She never imagined it would return with a vengeance and throw her back into Ivan's world. But when an attempt is made on her life, she needs Ivan more than ever to keep her safe--even if she is in danger of falling deeply and dangerously in love. . .

Dagger’s Edge is the second book in Lora Leigh’s Brute Force series. But a spinoff, on her Elite Ops series.

I relished in this installment of the Brute Force series. Though it’s only book #2, in my opinion, this was the best installment. It had everything that a reader of romantic suspense come to love about reading this genre. And to top it off, the male character has no shame. Ivan Resnova knows what he is, and doesn’t apologize for it. When he was first introduced in Collision Point he was this robust, secure, forceful male that took charge. That I must say carried over into his own story. Which I greatly appreciate that Lora Leigh didn’t downplay on. The same goes for Crimsyn “Syn” Delaney, she was the female version of Ivan, which made for intriguing happenstances. Both character suited each other perfectly. Being hard as nails was a requirement.

I felt bad for both Ivan & Crimsyn… the male members in their family took the word “Dysfunctional” and made it a Royal title. But then again, their whole entire life was a WTF moment. From having a first child at age 13 to finding out your father and grandfather were kingpins in human trafficking. To learn that your whole life was built on a lie.
There were so many WTF moments in Dagger’s Edge, that by the end of the book you will be saying WTH.

Nevertheless, come this fall if you’re looking to add titles to your bookshelf or eBook reader, make sure to leave room for Dagger’s Edge, a fast paced, action filled love story…you’ll be glad you did.

Vampire’s Faith is Rebecca Zanetti latest installment in the Dark Protectors series. Where we find that Ronan Kayrs was one of three destined to hold the ultimate Dark force at bay. However, there was a disruption and one by one the bubbles started to burst.

Ronan Kayrs wasn’t expecting to walk the earth again nor meet his mate. But, Ronan does both. He sacrificed a lot and now he is expected to do it again.
Ronan wants to know, what lengths will he have to go,  in order to protect this new world he awoke and to protect the woman that he has known only from a dream.

It has been awhile since I read the Dark Protectors. But after reading this book. I was ready to revisit this world from the beginning. This story like the rest of the books in this series didn’t disappoint. Though there were times that the story itself dragged on. But once you passed the character introductions, the story moved right along.

I certainly enjoyed this story, and recommend this book to any old or new fans of the Dark Protector series or to the genre of paranormal romance. The next book in the series Demon’s Mercy comes out January 22, 2019, which is the story about Logan Kyllwood. This is supposed to complete the series. I am hoping that it’s not. I want to see the woman that Garret Kayrs will fall for.

The Dark Protectors are Back!

Vampire Ronan Kayrs wasn’t supposed to survive the savage sacrifice he willingly endured to rid the world of the ultimate evil. He wasn’t supposed to emerge in this time and place, and he sure as hell wasn’t supposed to finally touch the woman who’s haunted his dreams for centuries. Yet here he is, in an era where vampires are hidden, the enemy has grown stronger, and his mate has no idea of the power she holds.

Dr. Faith Cooper is flummoxed by irrefutable proof that not only do vampires exist . . . they’re hot blooded, able to walk in sunlight, and shockingly sexy. Faith has always depended on science, but the restlessness she feels around this predatory male defies reason. Especially when it grows into a hunger only he can satisfy—that is if they can survive the evil hunting them both.

About Rebecca Zanetti

Rebecca Zanetti wrote her first story when she was six – a romance between a princess and neighboring prince. The princess fell out of her castle and the prince rescued her. A happily ever after was had by all.

This theme of romance has been carried through Rebecca’s works until present time. While today’s heroine may have a medical degree, black belt in Karate and her own 401K, she’s still after that happy ending. And today’s prince may have fangs and wear a black hat, but hey, a modern princess likes a guy who bites.

Rebecca attended Pepperdine University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a Political Science emphasis. While there she worked as the Editor-in-Chief of The Graphic newspaper, a member of the Pi Phi Sorority and an intern for President Reagan, who still gave 3-5 speeches a week, even though he was no longer president.

After college, Rebecca worked as an art curator and a Senate aide before heading to law school, where she received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Idaho. She married Tony Zanetti in the middle of her second year of law school and became pregnant with their first child during the third year. She graduated law school, gave birth three weeks later, and took the Bar Exam three weeks after that. All she remembers about the bar exam is that it was so quiet in the testing room, she thought about taking a quick nap. But she continued on, passed the bar and became a lawyer. She worked for a large firm, then a small firm, then the county while also teaching legal classes at her local community college. Now she writes romances about vampires, cowboys, and soldiers.

Growing up amid the glorious backdrops and winter wonderlands of the Pacific Northwest has given Rebecca fantastic scenery and adventures to weave into her stories. She resides there with her husband, children, and extended family who inspire her every day. Rebecca has completed several manuscripts, winning award throughout the writing industry for her work. She currently writes the Scorpius Syndrome series and the Realm Enforcer series (a Dark Protector spinoff) for Kensington Publishing, and the Sin Brothers series and the Lost Bastard Series for Grand Central Publishing.
