Ilya Dragonovich is no stranger to the dark side. As a safe-house owner for security agency Brute Force, Dragon knows that the battle line between good and evil runs through the heart of every man—and, sometimes, a beautiful woman…

Emma Jane Preston needs help. After her marriage crumbled, she believed she could get back to a normal, happy life. But now she needs the kind of protection that comes at a cost—one that only someone like Dragon can provide. But can Emma Jane trust this handsome, undercover operator to keep her safe when she is in danger of falling into the arms of the deeply seductive, fiery Dragon. . .and never letting go?

He left to protect her. He came back to defend her. Now it’s time to claim the only person who can bring him out if the darkness.
Lethal Nights, book #3 in Lora Leigh, A Brute Force series. This was bar none the best book I read this year; with us only halfway through 2019. Lethal Nigh a fast pace read, with lots of suspense and action to keep any reader entertained. I love the two main characters of this book.

Ilya Dragonvich…he’s tall dark, dangerous and damaged. He never had a normal childhood. While other boys were playing with trucks, Ilya was learning how to protect himself; against the one person that was supposed to safeguard him from harm.

Emma Jane was a sweet woman who got a bad break when she married a man named Max; who was nothing but a spoiled man child, it was a good thing she was getting that divorce since he was taking her to the cleaners anyway.

The chemistry between Ilya and Emma Jane was realistic. Ilya was attracted to Emma Jane from the start, I applaud Lora Leigh not given into the attraction from the start. The plot was used before, but for some reason was still entertaining enough to keep this reader up well past her bedtime.

I started this series with Dagger’s Edge, so among these two books, this book was my favorite.

If you’re looking for a book with strong characters and spice to the romance, then most certainly add Lethal Nights to your book collection.

About Lora Leigh

Lora Leigh lives in the rolling hills of Kentucky, often found absorbing the ambiance of this peaceful setting. She dreams in bright, vivid images of the characters intent on taking over her writing life, and fights a constant battle to put them on the hard drive of her computer before they can disappear as fast as they appeared.

Lora’s family and her writing life co-exist, if not in harmony, in relative peace with each other. Surrounded by a menagerie of pets, friends, and a teenage son who keeps her quick wit engaged, Lora’s life is filled with joys, aided by her fans whose hearts remind her daily why she writes.
