o hell and back . . .

Though he has vampire, demon, and Viking blood rushing through his veins, Ivar Kjeidsen’s soul-crushing trip to hell broke him in ways he can barely fathom.  One vow keeps the deadly immortal standing: To rescue the vampire brother who had sacrificed freedom for him.  To do that, Ivar needs the help of a brilliant physicist with wary brown eyes, fierce brilliance, and skin that’s way too soft.

Dr. Promise Williams understands the underpinnings of the universe but has never figured out the human beings inhabiting it.   Her function is to think—and not feel—until she’s touched by a vampire who’s nowhere near human. The primal hunger in his eyes awakens feelings in her that defy calculation. As she shows him the way to step between worlds, he brands her with a pleasure that could last more than a lifetime . . .

ALPHA PROMISE the next book in Rebecca Zanetti’s Dark Protectors series takes us on an entertaining ride, of Sciences meets Numbers. In 2005 CBS introduced this television show Numbers. It was about an FBI agent who recruits his younger brother a mathematical genius, to help solve the FBI toughest cases. Well, Alpha Promise reminded me of this program, which made this book a huge hit with me.

Dr. Promise Williams a prodigy in physics is in the hot seat while leaving a funeral, of a faculty member, she was almost kidnapped by the same individual whom she assumed killed Dr. Rashad. In a panic to avoid the same fate as the late Dr., Promise rear-ended a police car. Her initial thoughts after her interview with the police were that it was just random. Until she meets Ivar Kjeidsen again.

Ivar Kjeidsen is a vampire, demon whose sole mission is to save a brother from a world that is about to collapse, the only person who could assist him, is no other, then Dr. Promise Williams. Dr. Williams is the leader in her field in physics and she is also an enhanced female, which makes her even valuable to his people. His kidnapping attempt has failed, now he must try something he never did before…. introduce himself.

What I enjoyed most about ALPHA PROMISE, was the banter between the two main characters. Their play off each other was captivating, which made it easy to get into the storyline. This book flew by and with entertaining characters and plot, I finished this book quickly. But then again, Zanetti makes all her books entertaining that it’s very easy to zoom through one of her titles

About Rebecca Zanetti

Rebecca Zanetti wrote her first story when she was six – a romance between a princess and neighboring prince. The princess fell out of her castle and the prince rescued her. A happily ever after was had by all.

This theme of romance has been carried through Rebecca’s works until present time. While today’s heroine may have a medical degree, black belt in Karate and her own 401K, she’s still after that happy ending. And today’s prince may have fangs and wear a black hat, but hey, a modern princess likes a guy who bites.

Rebecca attended Pepperdine University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a Political Science emphasis. While there she worked as the Editor-in-Chief of The Graphic newspaper, a member of the Pi Phi Sorority and an intern for President Reagan, who still gave 3-5 speeches a week, even though he was no longer president.

After college, Rebecca worked as an art curator and a Senate aide before heading to law school, where she received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Idaho. She married Tony Zanetti in the middle of her second year of law school and became pregnant with their first child during the third year. She graduated law school, gave birth three weeks later, and took the Bar Exam three weeks after that. All she remembers about the bar exam is that it was so quiet in the testing room, she thought about taking a quick nap. But she continued on, passed the bar and became a lawyer. She worked for a large firm, then a small firm, then the county while also teaching legal classes at her local community college. Now she writes romances about vampires, cowboys, and soldiers.

Growing up amid the glorious backdrops and winter wonderlands of the Pacific Northwest has given Rebecca fantastic scenery and adventures to weave into her stories. She resides there with her husband, children, and extended family who inspire her every day. Rebecca has completed several manuscripts, winning award throughout the writing industry for her work. She currently writes the Scorpius Syndrome series and the Realm Enforcer series (a Dark Protector spinoff) for Kensington Publishing, and the Sin Brothers series and the Lost Bastard Series for Grand Central Publishing.
