    Sharp Shootin’ Cowboy Book Review

Sharp Shootin’ Cowboy is my first book by Victoria Vane, I can say that I absolutely enjoyed every second of it. This book depicts the plight that wolves of today face that of extinction. Our hereon wildlife biologist Haley Cooper is desperate to cause awareness about the hunting of the wolves.
Not everyone sees that wolves need saving, that is where Marine sniper Reid Everett comes in. His family owns and operates a hunting expedition, and that is when it starts getting interesting. Several years ago Haley just walked away from Reid to pursue her career. Now years later they meet again under extraordinary circumstances, when one of Haley’s wolves was killed by a hunter.
Sharp Shootin’ Cowboy has its ups and downs. At one point I didn’t really like Haley; at the simplest provocation she would break things off with Reid then return. I felt that Haley had too many issues that I found myself talking to myself, telling Reid to give up on her. Nevertheless, this book got you thinking and I found myself researching the extinction of the Gray Wolves.
All in all, Sharp Shootin’ Cowboy was a well written story consists of rich storyline and a smooth talking Marine.
Sharp Shootin’ Cowboy by Victoria Vane goes on sale June 2

Cruisin’ For A Seal (Brotherhood Series #5) Book Review

Cruisin’ For A Seal book #5 of the Seal Brotherhood Series, was excellent from start to finish. When Mark and several of his brothers from Seal Team 3 boarded a cruise ship to bury a fallen brother’s ashes at sea, they thought it would be a routine thing. Until, terrorists took control over the ship. That is when the real action started.

What I really enjoyed about this book that some of the other books in this genre would not have, is the women are not helpless female they too get on the action especially Sophia Negri who was a dancer aboard the cruise ship hired for the entertainment and destine to meet and fall in love with Mark.

If you haven’t read the others this series you really don’t have to. All of the books in this series are stand alone. However, to get the most out of the story you really should try to read the Seal Brotherhood Series in order.

Cruisin’ For A Seal is on sale now.

    Witches Be Burned Book Review

Witches Be Burned is the first book I ever read by Stacey Kennedy. As I read this book I felt that I was missing something. The reason for being lost I found was that this book is the sequel to Werewolves Be Damned, so if you haven’t read the first book I do advise that you do so to get Nexi back story.

Witches Be Burned has everything; it has witches, vampires, werewolves, and guardians. This story was made for every paranormal romance lover out there. Nexi has lost her entire family and she’s hell bent on getting revenge. Only one person can either help her or at least try to keep her safe that is Elite Guardian Kyden. This book was so compelling that I hated to see it end.

All in all, this book was a truly enjoyable read that it’s like a mini cliffhanger that leaves you wanting more.

    Hot Alphas Book Review

I don’t normally start my review out with a overview, matter of fact I never started  out this way. However, with this book I found myself drifting from the norm.

This book contains four books by New York bestseller Lora Leigh, Laurelin McGee, Shiloh Walker, & Kate Douglas

In Erin’s Kiss by Lora Leigh, ex-Marine Turk has become Erin’s sworn protector. The target of her CIA-operative brother’s foes, Turk is the only port Erin has to cling to in a storm. He promised her brother long ago never to touch her-but how can he resist a woman who aches to be with him as much as he burns for her?

In misTaken by Laurelin McGee, Jaylene’s an independent woman who’s never had a man tell her what to do. But when her smolderingly hot and mysterious neighbor introduces her to a few new rules in the bedroom, Jaylene must learn to relinquish control…if she is to run wild with passion…

In Burn for Me by Shiloh Walker, Tate and Ali have long desired each other. Too fearful of their demons, they refuse to give in to the heat that blazes between them. But passion cannot be denied for long, and sometimes true love really can conquer all…

In Tangled by Kate Douglas, Nate shows he shouldn’t fall for his coworker, Cassie, at Tangled Vineyards. New at the vineyard, Nate cannot jeopardize the position he’s worked so hard to achieve. But Cassie’s tempting body and sparkling smile prove too much to resist–and he’s willing to risk it all just to have one more taste

All these books has in common are strong males who wants one thing a very strong an willing women. These story was all very enjoyable you can’t go wrong.

Wolf with Benefits (Pride Stories Series #8) Book Review

How do I start this review, I’ve been up all night trying to come up with a different way to begin. To do this is very difficult. So I just begin with Shelly Laurenston “The Pride Series” is hilarious, the characters are all likeable even the ones that you seriously want to hate.
Wolf with Benefits the 8th book to this series fits right in with all the rest. Toni Jean-Louis Parker is the oldest sister to jackal siblings who are all gifted in some way. Being the “Average” one in this family leaves Toni little to no time, to have a career to make her mark. So one is out for blood and only one person could so her sanity and her family that would be Ricky Lee Reed.
Hold on to your seat and bring a lot of tissues before you read this book. Wolf with Benefits will leave you in tears.

Born of Defiance (The League: Nemesis Rising Series #9) Book Review

I had the wonderful pleasure of reading Born of Defiance (The League: Nemesis Rising Series #9) can I say this book was excellent like all the rest in this series. This story if you follow the series should have been written before Born of Night. The reason I say this is because this gives you the behind the scenes look on what happen leading up to the discovery of Nykryian Quikiades.

The reason I love this one is both characters doesn’t let what happen in their past to define who they would or shall become in the future. Each character has to overcome a lot to get to where they want to be. Tayln Batur has spent his whole life fighting against the prejudice of him and his people, which isn’t easy, for without a father name he has to rise in ranks on his own, and with the help of Felicia also a fatherless child. However, in her cause it was her father’s choice not to be in her life. They come together to right the wrongs that has befallen their people, with help from old friends.

Cat’s Lair (Leopard Series #7) Book Review

I had the pleasure of reading Cat’s Lair (Leopard Series #7) written by the very talented Christine Feehan. And can I say that I actually enjoyed this book. The plot was very well thought out and the characters old and new were very enjoyable all in themselves.
The story is about Cat Benoit who is on the run from a very and controlling male leopard who becomes the guarding of Cat at a very young age. The story heats up, as soon as, Cat meets Ridley Cromer, the instructor at the martial art school she attends.
There were some twists in the story that I totally didn’t see coming. it was really great to see old characters for instance Jake and Emma make an appearance. For those of you who don’t know who Jake and Emma are pick up a copy of Burning Wild the story that started it all.

Wolf’s Honor (Caedmon Wolves Book 6) Book Review

Wolf shifter Connor Maxim was giving the tasking of finding a murderer on Pack territory. All evidence points to two prevalent wolf Packs: The Caedmon and the Arnou. The Feds gave the leaders of both Packs an ultimatum, and a three-day deadline. Will Connor succeed in finding the murderer or will time run out.
Wolf’s Honor is the 6th installment to Ambrielle Kirk Caedmon Wolves series. I advised that you read this series in order. When I first read this book I was lost until I went back and read the others. After doing so I have to say Ambrielle Kirk is an excellent writer. This book totally fits right in with the others in this series.
Connor during his investigation, he meets and falls heads over-hill in love with Antonia who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Antonia was doing a courier assignment with her brother when all things went to hell and quickly with her life on the line and her brother unaccounted for who can she trust.
This book was so good that before I knew it I was on the last page, with the desire to know what will happen next.

    Slave To Sensation Book Review

Slave to Sensation is the first installment in Nalini Singh Psy-Changeling series. I just have to say it has been awhile since I read this series. So I reread and just have to say it was even better the second time.
Slave to Sensation begins with the story of Sascha Duncan. Sascha was born under the rules of silence protocol; Silence is where all emotions are wiped. However, that protocol has failed within Sascha. She has begun to feel and is afraid of what may happen to her. With reason, for the rules are anyone who begins to break protocol must undergo rehabilitation, which in her cause might be costly.
While working to keep what has been going on with her Sascha meets Lucas Hunter a leopard changeling who is on a mission to find a serial killer going around killing changeling. Lives are on the line when everything points to a Psy as the killer. Can Sascha and Lucas overcome this fork in their new relationship or would this completely tear them apart.

SEAL Of My Heart Book Review

I had the pleasure of reading Seal of My Heart. The characters where well written and the story line had you from the characters first glance. Kate Morgan is engaged to the son of a wealthy wine family. However, no matter how wealthy one is, money can’t buy you happiness. This is what Kate found when on her trip to visit in Portland she was seated next to elite soldier Navy SEAL Tyler Gray.

Tyler Gray was planning to spend a quiet weekend home before deploying to North Africa with the rest of his SEAL Team 3, when he met and was instantly attracted to Kate Morgan. Unable to act on this attraction they decided to keep in touch.

The Seal of My Heart reminded me of Romeo and Juliet just with a happier overtone; especially, when you add a strong controlling family, and a hard nose fiancé thrown into the mix.

    Sinful Book Review

With this new installment to the Bitter Creek series it made you want to reread the series over again. It was fun to visit with old friends and to know what happened to them. So the story begins a new with King’s children.

Sinful by Joan Johnston is the 9th book in her Bitter Creek series I advised you read the series in order. Connor Flynn’s wife died in a car accident living him to raise his two children alone. To make matters worse, his in-laws has filed a suite to maintain custody of his kids. How will he prove to his in-laws and to himself that he is capable to raise two innocent young lives?

Eve has been in love with Connor since they were in High School. Instead of admitting to her feelings, she stood by and watched the man of her dreams fall in love and wed her best friend. Years later and still in love with Connor, Eve  now knows the only obstacle in her way to having what she wants is herself.

    Her Wild Hero Book Review

This is my first title by Paige Tyler, and I can honestly say this will not be my last. Her Wild Hero was extraordinary; this had everything a reader of this genre would want.

Other employers would give their employees an additional day off with pay to commend their good work, in the Dept of Covert Ops you get to go into the field and that is exactly what Kendra Carlsen wanted. It was her dream and so when the boss sent her on what is suppose to be a two weeks routine assignment in the Costa Rican jungle she couldn’t wait. However, everything goes haywire when the group that she’s with gets ambushed by what are known as Hybrids. It was up to Declan MacBride a Bear shifter to make sure that she makes it out alive.

    Darkness Eternal Book Review

Darkness Eternal is a well written book and worth every minute that it took me to read. The latest installment in Alexandra Ivy Guardians of Eternity series, Darkness Eternal takes us on what I thought was a humorous adventure about Uriel and Kata.
Kata was held captive by a vampire for four centuries, and can you say that Kata and her twin sister Marika put the word dys in dysfunctional, since it was her sister that held her captive all of these centuries with no sight of rescue until Uriel was assigned the task by the Victor the vampire leader. It was an assignment that Uriel didn’t want. However, it was an assignment only he could fulfill.
Darkness Eternal can be read as a standalone. However, to get the full effect of this series I advise to start at the beginning.

Immortal Brothers: Cursed by Ice Book Review

I had the chance to read Cursed by Ice by Jacquely Frank the second installment in The Immortal Brothers this book like Cursed by Fire didn’t disappoint. Garreth was considered the level headed one. The one that tried to halt his other brothers from finding the fountain of life, on their misguided journey they were all cursed. Whereas, Dethan who was cursed by Fire. Garreth is cursed by Ice. He like his brother before him was offered a reprieve from his torment in exchange for his allegiance in the celestial civil war of the gods. Along this journey he meets Sarielle while trying to conquer her homeland. Sarielle like Garreth has her own problems. She’s being used by the current lord due to the fact she has the ability to control a mystical beast name Koro a weyvern. Sarielle too has the responsibility of caring for her two younger siblings being held as leverage against her in order to use her abilities. I think the reason I fell in love with Garreth and Sarielle story is because they were both slaves. Garreth salved by the gods to do their bidding or else to suffer the fate of being frozen to death for all eternity and Sarielle a true slave by the people she is force to protect and by her ability.
