When she ran, she didn’t think he’d follow…

Pack princess Alyssa Clare was trying to come up with ways to get out of her arranged mating to alpha wolf Reece O’Shea—until she meets the powerful male. After getting to know him, mating doesn’t seem like such a bad idea anymore. But when he makes it clear she’s just a business arrangement for him and his pack, she calls off the mating and heads south to stay with a friend to lick her wounds in private.

But he’s not willing to let her go without a fight.

Reece can’t let Alyssa go, not when he’s completely fallen for the sweet, sexy female. He doesn’t care about the arranged mating deal, he just wants her and has no idea why she ran. To win her back he infiltrates another alpha’s territory, knowing it could mean his death. Luckily Grant Kincaid allows him in his domain—as long as Alyssa is okay with it. Convincing her that she’s all he wants is a bigger challenge than he imagined. But he’s not giving up, because he knows she’s the one he’s meant to be with forever.

My Review: Savannah Stuart has done it again. To Catch His Mate was a really good book. This book was about how eavesdropping is never good for anyone. Alyssa Clare was unsure about the arranged mating to alpha wolf Reece O’Shea until she and her father was invited to visit. Once she met Reece and got to know him she grew to like him, and that mating to Reece didn’t seem so bad. Until that fateful day she overheard Reece telling a pack mate that the mating to her was a business arrangement and nothing more.

How, can she mate a man who thought of her as nothing more than property to secure his packs future. She did the only thing that a women or wolf should do in this situation; she calls off the mating and heads south to stay with a friend to heal and somehow forget Reece.

Unknowing that his words were over heard by Alyssa, Reece is left wondering why the woman that he has fallen for has suddenly called the mating off. In order to get some answer he first has to track Alyssa down. And once he does that, the chase was on. Reece and Alyssa story was a very enjoyable, entertaining story to read. The only downside was their story was so short, but then again that is why they call short stories “NOVELLAS”

Dangerous Deception

513-qfazhpl-_sx331_bo1204203200_

Two years ago her world was turned upside down…

Sage Miller’s life changed irrevocably with one violent act. Longing for anonymity, she relocated to the coast of North Carolina. Just when her life is settling down, a sexy man from her past shows up and wants to pick up where their explosive relationship left off. And this time, he’s the one calling the shots.

This time he’s not letting her go…

Former Navy SEAL Trent Takoda spent an intense week with the sexiest woman he’d ever met—before she disappeared in the dead of night. Now that he’s found her again, he’s not letting go. When a vicious stalker with ties to her past tracks her down, all bets are off. With a deadly enemy hunting her, Trent will do anything to protect her and prove they belong together.

My Review: DANGEROUS DECEPTION is a re-release contemporary, adult, romantic suspense novella by Katie Reus written as Savannah Stuart. This is former Navy SEAL Trent Takoda, and Sage Miller’s storyline. Even though this was a re-release it was new to me. This book was super flammable. The story line between Trent and Sage was very compelling.

Two years ago Sage world was turned upside down by tragedy. Several years later when she thought she finally got her life back on track. Ominous things started to occur, who can Sage trust when all the people she knew were dead. Then one day when she needed help the most Trent reappeared. With the help of a former Navy Seal can they track down the vicious stalker or will the stalker claim Sage as his price?

What I really enjoyed about Dangerous Deception was how easily the story flowed. I am not a big mystery book reader. However, with Dangerous Deception I got into the romance and mystery of the story. The only downside to this book was that it was to short which could have been longer. But other than that Dangerous Deception was a pretty good read.

Worth the Risk (Miami Scorcher Series Book 2)

One man is getting in the way of her revenge . . . her mate.

After all, he’s a dirty arms dealer doing business with her mortal enemy. Unfortunately, every time the dominating wolf gets close, she can’t deny her growing attraction for the last man in the world she expected to want.

But things aren’t what they seem. . .

Undercover DEA agent Stephan Lazos is about to make the biggest bust of his career, but everything that can go wrong, does. He never expected to discover his mate while on the job. She saves his life and his cover when he almost shifts in the middle of a crowded Miami nightclub, but that doesn’t mean he trusts her. The clock is ticking and if he doesn’t figure out what secrets the sexy she-wolf is keeping from him, he might not just lose his job, but his life in the process.

My Review: Savannah Stuart has done it again. I had the opportunity to read Worth the Risk; well it’s also Worth the Read. The description doesn’t do this book justice.

Marisol Cabrera was on a mission that was to kill the man who murdered her entire pack.

Stephan Lazos too was on a mission to take down a man who the DEA thinks is smuggling drugs, at the nightclub for where the meeting was taking place, he finds his mate. It wasn’t a good time when he was in a middle of a sting operation, but when his protection for his mate takes front row seat will his mission be a failure or will both succeed on their secret mission.

Worth the Risk was an excellent book from start to finish; now I can’t wait to read her next book. The connection between these two was hot that it singed my fingers, or it could be my kindle is malfunctioning.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Worth the Risk was previously published elsewhere. It has been revised and edited.

Heated Mating (Luminet Series #1)

She’s always wanted him…

After being rescued from her dying planet and brought to Lumineta with other humans, Saroya has always been fascinated by Linc, a formidable warrior. She mates with him and his brother, and has never understood his reluctance to be near her or even touch her. When his brother dies and he makes it clear he’s sexually interested, she can’t fight the incendiary attraction between them.

but things get more complicated in the light of day.

Linc has wanted Saroya from the moment he met her—and throughout her short mating with his brother. His culture might encourage two males to mate with one woman, but Linc could never share Saroya. Not even with his brother. When his brother dies, leaving her unmated, Linc intends to claim her. Before he can win that battle he’ll have to swallow his warrior pride and win her heart once and for all.

My Review: I had the pleasure of reading one of Savannah Stuart books titled “Claimed by the Warrior” you can find my review here https://yearwooddailybookreview.com/2015/09/11/claimed-by-the-warrior/. With this story it found me on a journey of reading another of her story which this review will be based and that title is Heated Mating. Saroya just buried one of her lovers or what the other believed on the Lumineta planet which believe that a female need more than one protector normally a brothers shall be the woman provided and protector but know to the whole planet Saroya and Linc was never lovers even if that was Linc’s only wish. However there was one problem with this Male-Female-Male relationship, Linc doesn’t share even if that person he would be sharing a woman with was his own brother. So when his brother dies, leaving him Saroya only male protector, it was up to Linc to battle the only foe standing between the claiming of the women he love, Himself.

This book like the other I mention above was excellent the chemistry was hot and when they finally came together made this short novella even hotter.

Claimed by the Warrior

When Leilani travels to the mountain region of her new planet, Lumineta, she discovers the remote mountain clan has a law stating that any unmated female in their sector can be forced to live there for one moon cycle. At first she’s livid—until she realizes that being held captive means that the warriors bring her gifts and simply try to impress her as part of their courting rituals. But she’s not interested in anyone except the sexy leader—and living under his roof makes her feel nothing like a captive. He has her rethinking everything she thought she knew about Luminet males.
Con has never thought much about taking a mate. As leader of his clan, he’s too busy and females are too complicated—especially those mysterious humans. But the longer he’s around Leilani, the more he realizes she’s worth fighting for. Despite his planet’s tradition that says two males mate with one female, he has no intention of sharing—or ever letting her go.
My Review: Claimed by the Warrior would be my first and definitely won’t be my last book from Savannah Stuart, Katie Reus. Claimed by the Warrior held my attention from the first line and didn’t let go until the very end.
Men of the Lumineta planet heard about human female but never had the pleasure of meeting one until Leilani travels to the mountain region. Once there she finds out that unmated female not accompanied by a male or mate is forced to stay for one moon cycle in order for the men to have the opportunity to court the female. That is when the story started to take off. Even though she was forced to stay only one man had her thinking about staying and that was Con. The attraction was strong between Con and Leilani, sensual tension was hot beyond belief once these two came together. Savannah Stuart has found her way on my favorite author list. I certainly will be checking out her other books.
