Claim & Protect: The Haven Brotherhood #3

Claim & Protect (The Haven Brotherhood) by [Morgan, Rhenna] Claim & Protect by Rhenna Morgan

My rating:

Publisher: Carina Press

Publication Date: Jun 12, 2017

Print Length: 416 pages

In the event that you haven’t begun to peruse one of Rhenna Morgan’s titles in her fresh off the press new saga The Haven Brotherhood, you ought to before June 12, 2017. Since the following portion is ablaze… goodness, the sparks between Trevor and Natalie is all that as well.

Natalie lived the high life. Hitched and with one youngster, a mother who reveres her and her son. In any case, all that changed with a just one slap in the face. Presently she’s just keen on making a new beginning. But her ex-declines to release the past.

Trevor Raines put stock in the Haven Brotherhood maxim. “Live hard, f*ck harder and take after just their own particular principles”. In any case, don’t miss the point, Trevor and his sibling don’t twist the standards just to help themselves. Nope, they utilize it to help other people in need.

Trevor’s fascination for Natalie takes him into her reality. Trevor will successfully help Natalie and her child from any further mischief from her ex.

Claim and Protects fits ideal in with alternate titles in this series. The Haven Brotherhood I could see myself perusing more than once. Furthermore, since this three-book arrangement is over. I can hardly wait to read what Rhenna Morgan write about next.

I would prescribe this book to all peruse, who like the contemporary sentiment, and solid plotline and the set of characters that makes The Haven Brotherhood an unquestionable requirement read.

Series: Haven Brotherhood #2

Print Length: 392 pages

Characters: Zeke, Gabrielle

Live hard, f*ck harder and follow only their own rules. Those are the cornerstones the six men of the Haven Brotherhood live and bleed by, refusing to conform to society’s expectations, taking what they want and always watching each other’s backs.

Zeke Dugan is not a man who walks the straight and narrow. He may have sworn an oath as a trauma doc, but he has zero problems leveraging his medical skills outside a hospital if it means giving the Brotherhood—the group of men he calls family—an advantage. Blood before business. All that changes when shy Gabrielle stumbles into his life and ignites his protective instincts.

Mechanic Gabrielle Parker prefers the complexities of an engine over men. Her life wasn’t always quiet and well-ordered, but now that it is, she finds peace in the solitude. When a robbery in her neighborhood forces her out of her safe bubble, she never fathoms that a dangerous, cocky trauma doctor will fix more than her injuries.

Zeke doesn’t play by the rules that Gabrielle follows but knows that he’s exactly what she needs in her life. He’ll show her the fierce and uncompromising protection that comes from belonging to a man like him.

When tension outside the Brotherhood threatens Gabrielle, Zeke will do anything to keep her safe and damn the consequences. No one will hurt his woman, even if it means putting the very men who saved his life at risk.

Coming off her successfully series “Eden” Rhenna Morgan brings us a tale of men who has lived hard and follow only their own rules. Six men who by law aren’t brothers but who chose to become family.

In Wild and Sweet the second book in the Haven Brotherhood. We are introduced to Dr. Zeke Dugan who has sworn an oath to heal people. But by no means does that mean he is not willing to do what is necessary to protect the ones he calls family.

Lacking social skills to intro act with others, especially men, Gabrielle Parker was happiest with a wrench in her hand. But, when a robbery takes place at her neighbors whose home she was taken care of. It forces Gabrielle out of her comfort zone and into the path of a strong personality type like Zeke.

What made this story so great was the characters of Zeke and Gabrielle. They both had flaws but was determined to overcome them. Or I should say Zeke was Gabrielle not so much until she almost loses the life that she thought would never be hers.

Wild and Sweet was fast paced and well developed just like the first book in the series. It can be read as a stand-alone. However, to get the full back story of these men, starting at the beginning would be advised.

Live hard, f*ck harder and follow only their own rules. Those are the cornerstones the six men of the Haven Brotherhood live and bleed by, refusing to conform to society’s expectations, taking what they want and always watching each other’s backs.

A self-made man with his fingers in a variety of successful businesses, Jace Kennedy lives for the challenge and he always gets what he wants. From the start, he sees Vivienne Moore’s hidden wild side and knows she’s his perfect match, if only he can break it free. He will have her. One way or another.

Vivienne’s determined to ditch the rough lifestyle she grew up in, even if that means hiding her true self behind a bland socialite veneer. Dragging her party-hound sister out of a club was not how she wanted to ring in the New Year, but Viv knows the drill. Get in, get her sister and get back to the safe, stable life she’s built for herself as fast as humanly possible. But Viv’s plans are derailed when she finds herself crashing into the club’s clearly badass and dangerously sexy owner.

Jace is everything Vivienne swore she never wanted, but the more time she spends with him, the more she starts to see that he loves just as fiercely as he fights. He can walk society’s walk and talk society’s talk, but when he wants something, he finds a way to get it. He’s proud of who he is and where he came from, and he’ll be damned if he lets Vivienne go before showing her the safest place of all is in the arms of a dangerous man.

I don’t normally hand out advice. This one time… I must. Don’t start Rough & Tumble if you are exhausted, sleep deprived or hung over. If you’re in any of these states, then you might find this book boring. Then you would seriously hate yourself for missing an excellent read.

The title alone told you what you were in for. You would be introduced to two strong and determined characters. When describing Jace, the phrase “Don’t judge the book by its cover” came to mind. That was so true. Jace who was trying to overcome his past, but it’s hard to do when you have an enemy in a place of authority. But Jace didn’t let that stop him from succeeding and he does it in style.

Now with Vivienne, the words that best described this character are loyal, door mat, and determined. Even though loyal and door mat went hand in hand. Especially when it involved her sister. Her sister was a total mess and it was again Vivienne who had to basically cater to her needs.

The story was a tale of perseverance and determination. A nice steady pace with well-developed characters and secondary characters that you will fall in love with.

Rough & Tumble was an excellent introduction to Rhenna Morgan’s Haven Brotherhood series.

Eden’s Deliverance (Eden, #4)

Golden starGolden starGolden starGolden starGolden star

Fate is the life we’re given. Destiny is what we do with it.

Captured as a child and forced into slavery by the Rebellion’s leader, Brenna Haven was raised in near isolation with the utmost cruelty. She knew nothing of kindness or compassion until Fate orchestrated her rescue. Finally free, she wants nothing more than to return to her home. To reconnect with her human family and live a simple, quiet life. But her newfound powers demand an entirely different future. One fraught with danger and a terrifying role in an ancient Myren prophecy.

A battle-hardened warrior and sworn bodyguard to the king, Ludan Forte wields a powerful, memory stealing gift. But his skill comes with a price. A torturous burden he’s hidden since his awakening over a hundred years ago. He never dreamed he’d find relief, let alone be tempted to forgo his vows to the king. Yet in Brenna’s sweet beguiling presence, the weight he bears is lifted. And when her role in the prophecy threatens her life, he’ll stop at nothing to keep her safe.

Both characters in Eden’s Deliverance was broken, I think that is why this book was my favorite in the series. A torturous gift has  Ludan isolate himself from others…but in order to protect the Myren and his people, he must use his gift to protect them.

Brenna who was capture as a child and isolated and used by a mad man, was now free. But to Brenna she won’t be truly free, until she is reunited with her parents. And only one person could help fulfill her wish.

Eden Deliverance delivered on all score with a well-developed set of characters. As this reviewer turned the last page, it finally hit me that it was over,  all the stories has been told and it was finally time to let go of characters that was beginning to seem real.

Waking Eden (Eden #3)

The only hope for saving their race is to surrender their hearts.

With a long foretold and annoyingly vague prophecy warning of immense change for Eden, Ramsay Shantos is forced to hunt words and legends instead of rebels. For a man of action, it’s the worst kind of agony. Until he encounters a sexy librarian who bears the fated prophecy’s mark. A mark no human should possess.

Tortured by her mixed heritage, Trinity Blair has enjoyed little human touch in her life, let alone intimacy. Even the most innocent contact fills her mind with a person’s deepest, darkest secrets—except for Ramsay. Her immunity to his thoughts sparks a fragile hope that she might finally experience the passion of her Dark Spiritu brethren…unless he’s the dangerous crossroads her father predicted.

When knowledge of Eden goes viral in the human realm, Trinity is Ramsay’s only hope for quelling mass panic. Can he risk revealing the secrets of his race to the guileless ray of sunshine? Or is she the unknown source of Eden’s destruction?

My Review: Waking Eden…Apropos name for what inspired in this novel. Rhenna Morgan invite us into a fantastic paranormal-fantasy world of “Eden” the world that we human once resided in. Secrets are unveiled to why we’re no longer are welcomed to “Eden” and why the residence of Eden must keep the place a secret from us when they visit our world (Evad). To get the full history and what makes Eden series a fantastic piece of literature well worth the time to escape from your day. I advise to start with the first book in the series.

In the 3rd book. Waking Eden….we finally get Ramsay Shantos story. Ramsay was entrusted to find out more on the prophecy the one that began in Unexpected Eden. To unwind he entered our realm “Evad” but once here, he finds that the only hope of saving his world and ours is to get closer to Trinity Blair. Trinity was aware that other beings walks among us, since she was part of the other beings. Trinity was a Dark Spiritu… know that voice we should all listen to and don’t, the voice that tries to keep us out of trouble. But in Trinity case she has yet to take her powers not wanting to leave her only relative. If I was in Trinity shoes I would have taken my powers and say good riddance. Her last living relative was bat shit crazy. Well, crazier than what is considered the norm.

Trinity secret was exposed to the people of Evad and it was up to Ramsay to rescue her and the only way to do that was to take Trinity to Eden.

Waking Eden was the best book so far in this series…it was very fast pace just like the others in the series. And just like the others, it captures you and just won’t let you go until you turned that last page. And after turning the last page, Waking Eden leaves you wishing that November was tomorrow so that you can have your “Eden” fix.

Healing Eden (Eden #2)

In a world divided by war, falling in love is the ultimate betrayal.

Galena Shantos has never questioned her loyalty to Eden. As sister to the Myren king, she serves as a healer, one of the best in the army fighting to suppress the brutal Lomos Rebellion. She’s never doubted the importance of stopping the rebels bent on enslaving humans, until she spots a warrior across enemy lines—and knows instinctively that their destinies are entwined. . .

Rebellion warrior Reese Theron has nothing left to lose. He’s been forced to fight on the wrong side of a war he abhors in order to protect his family secret. His honor lost, as well as the trust of his own people, Reese has thrown himself into a battle he cannot possibly hope to survive. But after being rescued by a beautiful woman whose exquisite eyes seem to see him for more than the traitor he’s become—he may have just found a new reason to live. . .

My Review: Rhenna Morgan has done it again. Just like her first novel in this series Unexpected Eden. Healing Eden was firing on all cylinders. If Reese wasn’t a fictional character, I would have found him just to give him a hug. Because he needed it badly. Since he is…a fictional character that is.  I just have to accept that Galena did it for me.

In Healing Eden where nothing goods grows in the shadow of secrets. Reese Theron who we briefly met in Unexpected Eden found himself as a captive. Questions that is to be answered in this novel. Who is Reese Theron really, and what is his involvement with the rebels.

I am just going to let you found out these answer for yourself. But I can tell you that Reese wasn’t who we all thought him to be. He was so misunderstood. His family secrets was a big shocker once I read what he had to hold back from his friends. The real reason why he was fighting with the rebels and not against them.

Healing Eden a great addition to the Eden Series. On sale now, don’t forget to pick-up your copy of this fabulous paranormal-fantasy romance. This story will leave you wanting to continue this epic series.

Which by the way I am doing later today. My review of Waking Eden coming soon.

Unexpected Eden (Eden #1)

Paradise, love and power…and a prophecy with a price.

Most people believe Eden no longer exists. Lexi Merrill’s about to learn they’re wrong. A hard-working bartender with a self-sufficient backbone and a wary nature, she knows pickup lines like a second language. So, when Eryx Shantos barges into her world with too-smooth words and a body to back it up, she locks up her libido and vows to keep her distance.

Eryx has other ideas. As king of the Myren race, Eryx is duty-bound to enforce the laws preventing exposure of their existence to humans. Yet The Fates have led him through his dreams to Lexi, a temptation he doesn’t want to resist. The question is, is she Myren, or human – which makes her forbidden fruit?

When Eryx’s nemesis tags Lexi as his next target, Eryx insists on taking her home where he can keep her safe. Lexi had no idea “home” would mean the one-and-only land of creation…or that she’d trigger a prophecy that could doom her newfound race.

My Review: If you haven’t heard Rhenna Morgan has a new book coming out titled “Waken Eden”. Since the book looks interesting I thought I should take a different approach, starting from the beginning to catch up until July 26. This would be my first book by Rhenna Morgan, so I didn’t know her writing style. But I have to say that Unexpected Eden, was unexpectedly enjoyable. The story line flowed without in lagging in the story telling. And the chemistry between Eryx and Lexi was great. Unexpected Eden was so well written that when I turned the last page I thought I had enough time to start another book, but realized that it was well after 2 o’clock in the morning.

Unexpected Eden where dreams becomes your reality on sale now.
