Hide. That's all Pippa can do to escape the terror chasing her. But now that she's off the grid in a safe house, she finds plenty of interesting things to watch through the window. Like her new neighbor, with his startling green eyes, killer smile, and sexy bad-boy tattoo . . .

Run. Malcolm West is fleeing the hell he unleashed in his last assignment as an undercover cop. A backwoods bungalow sounds like the perfect place to start over. Until he discovers he's been set up . . .

Fight. Someone's gone to a lot of trouble to bring them together. No matter how much he resents that, and his own driving needs, Malcolm will have to dig deep and let loose the banished killer inside himself, or Pippa's fears could come true faster than the flip of a bolt in a lock . . .

Going into a book, I normally know, what genre and a little bit about the plot. However, with Rebecca Zanetti newest series, Deep Ops, I tried to know as little as possible. I wanted to see if knowing nothing at all about a book makes a massive decision on the rating that I give a title. I’d concluded that knowing little to nothing about the characters and plot, doesn’t make a huge difference. If anything, it made me enjoy the book even more.

I started Hidden well into the evening with only the lights from my Kindle illuminating my room. How ironic it is that Hidden was a mystery suspense thriller and the movie that was on was also a thriller…. not so providential when your sister reminded you that it was movie night and we had planned to watch a thriller that night.

In Hidden, the heroine, Pipa, was leaving the life of a hermit with a mild case of agoraphobia…or so I thought. It changed when Malcolm West was introduced, and I learned that he used to be an undercover cop. No sooner than those words crossed my page I came to realize that maybe there was a huge reason Pipa chose to live the way she did; hiding from a past that was horrific to even this reader.

Rebecca Zanetti used an event from our history that our heroine with the help of our hero had to navigate. Rebecca Zanetti has done an overwhelming job of incorporating this bit of history without over-dramatizing or romanticizing the events.
By the time I completed Hidden, I knew that I wanted to read more of this series and a get to know the back story of the secondary characters. With one-character… Wolfe being the prominent character that I want to see get his own story.

Hidden, an exceptional start to Deep Ops. I totally recommend Hidden to any advent fan of mystery suspense.

About Rebecca Zanetti

Rebecca Zanetti wrote her first story when she was six – a romance between a princess and neighboring prince. The princess fell out of her castle and the prince rescued her. A happily ever after was had by all.

This theme of romance has been carried through Rebecca’s works until present time. While today’s heroine may have a medical degree, black belt in Karate and her own 401K, she’s still after that happy ending. And today’s prince may have fangs and wear a black hat, but hey, a modern princess likes a guy who bites.

Rebecca attended Pepperdine University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a Political Science emphasis. While there she worked as the Editor-in-Chief of The Graphic newspaper, a member of the Pi Phi Sorority and an intern for President Reagan, who still gave 3-5 speeches a week, even though he was no longer president.

After college, Rebecca worked as an art curator and a Senate aide before heading to law school, where she received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Idaho. She married Tony Zanetti in the middle of her second year of law school and became pregnant with their first child during the third year. She graduated law school, gave birth three weeks later, and took the Bar Exam three weeks after that. All she remembers about the bar exam is that it was so quiet in the testing room, she thought about taking a quick nap. But she continued on, passed the bar and became a lawyer. She worked for a large firm, then a small firm, then the county while also teaching legal classes at her local community college. Now she writes romances about vampires, cowboys, and soldiers.

Growing up amid the glorious backdrops and winter wonderlands of the Pacific Northwest has given Rebecca fantastic scenery and adventures to weave into her stories. She resides there with her husband, children, and extended family who inspire her every day. Rebecca has completed several manuscripts, winning award throughout the writing industry for her work. She currently writes the Scorpius Syndrome series and the Realm Enforcer series (a Dark Protector spinoff) for Kensington Publishing, and the Sin Brothers series and the Lost Bastard Series for Grand Central Publishing.

#1 bestselling author Lora Leigh is back--with a vengeance--in her latest novel of passion and intrigue, Dagger's Edge, featuring the men of Brute Force.

Ivan Resnova wants nothing more than to escape his hard, brutal past. Starting over is not so easy once you've been a powerful crime boss but now, instead of being punished for his alleged crimes, Ivan fears that the one woman he can't forget is in danger of paying the price.

Crimsyn "Syn" Delaney thought the danger she'd faced was over, and that she could resume her life. She never imagined it would return with a vengeance and throw her back into Ivan's world. But when an attempt is made on her life, she needs Ivan more than ever to keep her safe--even if she is in danger of falling deeply and dangerously in love. . .

Dagger’s Edge is the second book in Lora Leigh’s Brute Force series. But a spinoff, on her Elite Ops series.

I relished in this installment of the Brute Force series. Though it’s only book #2, in my opinion, this was the best installment. It had everything that a reader of romantic suspense come to love about reading this genre. And to top it off, the male character has no shame. Ivan Resnova knows what he is, and doesn’t apologize for it. When he was first introduced in Collision Point he was this robust, secure, forceful male that took charge. That I must say carried over into his own story. Which I greatly appreciate that Lora Leigh didn’t downplay on. The same goes for Crimsyn “Syn” Delaney, she was the female version of Ivan, which made for intriguing happenstances. Both character suited each other perfectly. Being hard as nails was a requirement.

I felt bad for both Ivan & Crimsyn… the male members in their family took the word “Dysfunctional” and made it a Royal title. But then again, their whole entire life was a WTF moment. From having a first child at age 13 to finding out your father and grandfather were kingpins in human trafficking. To learn that your whole life was built on a lie.
There were so many WTF moments in Dagger’s Edge, that by the end of the book you will be saying WTH.

Nevertheless, come this fall if you’re looking to add titles to your bookshelf or eBook reader, make sure to leave room for Dagger’s Edge, a fast paced, action filled love story…you’ll be glad you did.

If you read paranormal romance…vampire romance in particular; then you know Amanda Ashley is one of the best, when it comes to sensual, intriguing plots, with strong males that will make you swoon. Well, in her latest title in the genre of paranormal romance she brings us Twilight Desires.

Though this book was good it wasn’t great. In my opinion, this book was geared towards the young adult….18+ whose just now finding the world of paranormal.

The only take away about this book was the character, Ethan. He whined more than your average girl. Okay, we get that he didn’t want to be a nightwalker; but you know what I say to that. “It beats being dead” Thank goodness, he found someone like Sofia, though young, she was very mature for her age.

She had plenty of issues herself, didn’t let those issues interfere in living her life.

Twilight Desires was a fast-paced read, and if you can get past the male character whining, then your home free to a good romance.

About Amanda Ashley

I write paranormal romances for Zebra Books, and I love it. Most of my stories are about vampires because, I admit, I’m fascinated by them. I also admit I don’t like most vampire movies. I’m not really into blood and gore in living color on the screen, although I do love the movie, Dracula, starring Frank Langella. I just close my eyes from time to time.

Anyone who knows me also knows I love all things Star Wars, Phantom, and Beauty and the Beast.

I also write historical romances as Madeline Baker, many of which have been reissued on Kindle with new covers.
