As the last Pack member without a mate, Luke Reynolds has become an outsider. When he takes a job as the head horse trainer Sedona, Arizona, he’s looking forward to starting a new life. But everything changes the night he finds beautiful woman stranded on the side of the highway.

Raven Wood has been bitten and turned against her will. Luckily, her spirit is stronger than most, and she has every intention of escaping the Sedona Pack. Somehow. The sexy lone wolf who rescues her might be just the answer she’s looking for.

But the Sedona Pack Alpha has a mission, and unless Luke and Raven can stop him, they’ll lose everything.

Luke Reynolds was the baby, in his wolf pack and the only unmated male. Deciding to take a job somewhere that he’s not an outsider, he took a job as a head horse trainer in Sedona, Arizona; Not expecting the one thing he would value most his one true mate.

Raven was human at one time. Bitten and turned against her will, and mated against her will by an Alpha who thinks finding that one true mate will make a pack weak and whom is in league with another pack to attack the Reno wolf pack, Raven must escape to find help for her sister and to warn the Nevada pack of her Alpha deadly plan.

Wolf Moon is book #7 in Lisa Kessler Moon Series and it held its own with the other. With high action and sexy romance. Wolf Moon was a treat for any reader who likes alpha type men who know how to take care of himself and the women who fall for them.

Ice Moon ( The Moon Series #5)

Jared Ayers works outdoors, embracing a solitary life, hiding from his inner demons. But after so many of his Pack brothers have found their mates, he starts wondering if there might be a mate in his future too. His world turns upside down after he’s hired by the “Ice Queen of Lake Tahoe”. One touch is all it takes. One touch to send the wolf howling within…

A gifted psychic with pyrokinesis, Taryn Goldstone wields fire beyond her control– sometimes with dire consequences. With Jason, she discovers that some flames are meant for passion–and healing. She has enemies who covet her powerful gift, but they are about to learn just how far a wolf will go to protect his mate.

My Review: I don’t know what Lisa Kessler is doing, but I will take a guess and say she was successful in making me enjoy reading first person narration titles or just her books.

In The Moon series titled Ice Moon. Jared Ayers; Jason oldest brother and a werewolf, have to find a way to break through his mates “Ice Queen” persona. When Jason touched Taryn his wolf claimed her as theirs.

Taryn on the other hand has to cope with her gift of pyrokinesis. At any time she could set something or someone on fire without even meaning to. She done it before, with dire consequences she has been trying to overcome some nine years later. And So the façade of “Ice Queen” was born. She doesn’t like the title but it keeps innocents from getting hurt mainly her son and Jared.

Ice Moon had you cheering for these too, especially for Taryn because she lived the ultimate isolation from her son, she couldn’t touch him for nine years, distancing herself but loving him from afar. Until one day she met Jared. She tried to keep him at a distance like the others in her life. But like the old saying goes “Time heals all wounds” and if it doesn’t fate must step in to give it a swift kick into overdrive.

Ice Moon, I really enjoyed reading and can’t wait for the next book in this series.

Harvest Moon (The Moon Series #4)

Some wolves were never meant for a mate…

Dr. Jason Ayers unleashes all of his rage and his frustration through fists and brute force in an underground boxing ring. The werewolf may be the pack’s doctor, but he can’t even heal his coma-stricken father after the Nero Organization’s attack stopped his heart. And as his Pack brothers settle down around him, he still refuses to believe in the fairy tale notion that every wolf has a true mate…

In hiding and on the run, Nurse Kilani Akamu is a loose end that Nero is desperate to tie up. She can’t afford to be attracted to a doctor-especially one as unexpectedly hot and complex as Jason. Yet the sexual sparks arcing between them are undeniable…and Kilani’s precognitive senses warn her that temptation is inevitable.

All it takes is one touch to send Jason’s wolf howling. But even if he could protect her from Nero, he can’t protect her from himself…

My Review: Harvest moon would be the first book I read in The Moon Series written by Lisa Kessler and would be the first book I read by this author. Harvest Moon is a first person narration for that alone I almost given up on reading this book. In that I would have missed out on an excellent story. Jason & Kilani story was one addictive book. I can actually say that this book had me try to find the other three books in the series to see what I’ve missed in the way of story lines.

Harvest Moon had as on a journey of learning to forgive oneself. Jason thought that being a doctor for the pack that he would be able to heal everyone. However, he learned that wasn’t so when his dad was attacked. To relieve some of the rage and frustration he partakes in fighting in an underground boxing club.

Kilani was a nurse who is on the run for her life from an organization who had her roommate murdered. Kilani is the only loose, alone the way she meets Jason who knows everything there was to know about the organization “Nero” for it was the same organization that is hunting Kilani that had his father attacked. Now Kilani has to decide if she can trust Jason with her life and with her heart.
