A Cascadia Wolves novella

Megan Warden, Seattle’s devoted Enforcer of the Cascadia pack, knows that she has a mate. Somewhere. She’s just never found him. Then there he is at her cousin’s wedding. Megan isn’t just drawn to the werewolf’s masculine, head-spinning scent – she’s consumed by it. He seems so perfect, there has to be a catch…

With a successful practice in Las Vegas, Dr. Shane Rosario has lived outside the pack since he was born. Raised to hide his wolf in shame, he always assumed he’d marry a human.

Until Megan. Shane thrills to the ease with which she wears her wolf, and he craves ever inch of her. But the idea of forever could be impossible. He’s not willing to abandon his human life – even for a mate.

Something’s got to give. Because this time, even destiny may not be enough to bind them.

Lauren Dane didn’t waste any time in getting directly into the action. In Bonded Pair, Megan had to put up with a lot, traveling with her family to a wedding, to meeting her mate who had serious issues.
Shane was a successful doctor, who by right was a werewolf. Growing up he had to hide what he was to appease his mother. Not knowing what he was missing until he met his mate. But even meeting his mate didn’t solve years of abuse by his mother. Yes, Shane had mommy issues. If he can’t stop deny who and what he is, he will lose the best thing that ever happened to him.
Bonded Pair was fast passed and didn’t skimp on the romance. It had a strong character development to the point that you could relate to the struggle these two had to go through to be together.

“I can’t touch you yet. Once I do, it’s over.”

As daughter of the ruling Pack family, Layla Warden is under pressure to settle down. Find a nice wolf mate from a nice wolf family and have nice wolf babies. Layla has other plans, but when you’re a werewolf, biology trumps plans. And when Layla meets Sid, the sex is so intense, so hot, so consuming, it’s more than just a connection. It’s a mating bond.

Sid Rosario wasn’t expecting to find his mate so soon—some wolves never find theirs. Now that he’s found Layla, he’s never letting her go. But lust and desire alone aren’t enough to secure their bond. If they want this incredible happiness to last, there’s one more thing they’ll have to do…

After reading Pack Enforcer, I notice that I read the story out of order. However, maybe that was a good thing. Because I really enjoyed Pack Enforcer and Reluctant Mate not so much. I don’t know the story just felt to rushed. I couldn’t get into Layla and Sid. It was like they met had sex and fell in love all in one chapter then next thing I know the story was over.

I am going to chalk this story up as Lauren Dane having a bad day in the office. I would just think of Pack Enforcer as the beginning of the series and this story as a filler to the next book.

This wolf mates for life…

Nina Reyes knows trouble when she sees it, and Lex Warden, Enforcer for the local werewolf pack, is nothing but. When her brother gets in too deep with some dangerous wolves and comes to Nina for help—dragging super alpha protector Lex into her life—she can handle it. She might have put her grifter past behind her, but she’s still got what it takes. If only she didn’t find Lex—his body, his scent, even his domineering nature—so intoxicating.

As Enforcer, it’s Lex’s job to protect his people. Nina might be more capable of handling herself than he initially thought, but that doesn’t mean she’s safe from their enemies. His need to protect her is more than just pack business—Nina, a human, is his mate. Bedding her once is not even close to enough; to satisfy his wolf, he needs a true bond.

The heat between them scares Nina, but sometimes the reward is worth the risk, and the thought of living without Lex terrifies her more than any threat the werewolf mafia can pose. Lex will do anything to keep her safe. And when the Rogues catch up to them, he’ll get a chance to prove it…

If you read any of Lauren Dane books it’s no surprise that majority of all the heroine is strong and capable of taking care of themselves. Nina Reyes is no exception. Nina at a young age had to take care of two people, her younger brother and herself. When her baby brother got in trouble once more, it was up to Nina to get him out. But this time it didn’t go over so well. Now it was Nina turns to be saved. That’s when Lex Warden an enforcer had to step in.

Someone in the pack was leading the Rogues and a human was next on their hit list. When Lex met Nina he though she was attractive, funny and fierce. Now instead of hunting down Rogues to save the life of his pack. He must hunt them to save what he love most.

Pack Enforcer was a quick and exciting read. With well-developed story line and characters. If you love your men strong a fierce with the leading able to stand up to and for him, then Pack Enforcer would be that book.

Moonstruck (Diablo Lake #1)

Moonstruck (Diablo Lake, #1)

In Diablo Lake, Tennessee, a town populated by werewolves, witches and more, magic woven deep into the earth protects the town’s secrets from outsiders.

Katie Grady left Diablo Lake to get over a humiliating breakup. But her family needs her help, so she’s back, in a sublet right across the hall from the guy she’s lusted after for years. Jace Dooley is hotter than ever, and their friendship picks up along with massive doses of grown-up chemistry.

The very scent of Katie sharpens Jace’s canines, makes the wolf within him stir. There’s nothing more alluring to a Pack Alpha than a sexy female who is so very in charge. She won’t be coddled, but if he plays his hand just right she might be convinced to become his.

Katie presents a challenge to Jace’s wolf nature, whose chief instinct is to protect. Especially now that she’s coming into the magic that is her birthright—and suddenly Jace isn’t the only one who’s interested in Katie or the raw power she’s just learning to use.

My Review: I almost given up on this book. I put it down then I returned to it, just to restart from the beginning. I have to say that I really enjoyed this book. Me putting it down, had to have been, because I was truly tired that day and not the book at all.

Lauren Dane in this paranormal romance she has a mixture, from witches to wolf shifters. In Diablo Lake: Moonstruck we’re introduced very strong willed individuals. Jace’s because he’s an alpha wolf and Katie because she’s a strong witch.

Katie has finally come home. Leaving Diablo was the hardest thing she ever done, but after being stood up at the alter she had no choice. But, know she’s home where she’s belong.

When Jace finds out that Katie was home, it was time for him to claim which was his.

Diablo Lake: Moonstruck was a very solid story with again strong characters with a steady pace.

Attacked by werewolves. Mated to the Alpha. Declared a queen. Kari is having an unusual day.

In the Cherchez wolf pack, loyalty is earned, not given. For Andreas, the pull he feels toward Kari cannot be ignored, a physical bond immediate and unbreakable—though Andreas wants to win Kari’s heart as well as her body. But someone isn’t happy about his new mate, and Kari’s just beginning to trust him and the pack when attempted murder threatens their newfound happiness.

Andreas brings out the deepest hunger in Kari, a sexy, passionate side of herself she never knew was there. And her new life as werewolf queen is turning out to be surprisingly emotional in other ways, as well. The bond she feels with Andreas extends to the others in the pack—others she’s now bound to defend.

And as the pack’s enemies are about to discover, Kari will do anything to protect her new family.

My Review:

I didn’t start reading books by Lauren Dane until last year. When I saw she had a new title I job on the chance to read her latest title Wolf’s Ascension which I notice was previously published under a different title, but the good thing was I never read the previous title so all was good. So was Wolf’s Ascension. Kari didn’t think her life could get any stranger. First being attacked by a wild dog, waking up in a hospital being told that she was attacked but she didn’t have signs of being attacked by a wild dog. Next she is abducted by her doctor and waking up again at a house at an unknown location and being told that during the next full moon she was going to shift into a werewolf. What would a sane girl think when she was also told that she was some man’s alpha bitch. Either she has gone crazy are these people are escapees from an insane asylum and that she must escape. Try us she must she made it as far as the road leading to civilization when she was picked up by a kind civilian, just to be returned to the place she has escaped from.

Wolf Ascension was truly good book that will have you laughing for sure. The attraction between Andreas and Kari was hot and the plotline very interesting. If you like a good were-shifter book, Wolf Ascension by Lauren Dane would be one of the titles I recommend reading.
