Five weeks ago Carly Drake stood at her grandfather’s grave. Now she’s burying Drake Trucking’s top driver, and the cops have no leads on the hijacking or murder. Faced with bankruptcy, phone threats and the fear of failure, Carly has to team up with the last man she wants to owe—Lincoln Cain.

Cain is magnetic, powerful, controlling—and hiding more than one secret. He promised Carly’s granddad he’d protect her. The old man took a chance on him when he was nothing but a kid with a record, and now he’s the multi-millionaire owner of a rival firm.

But Linc’s money can’t protect Carly from the men who’ll do anything to shut her down, or the secrets behind Drake Trucking. If she won’t sell out, the only way to keep her safe is to keep her close . . . and fight like hell.

Beyond Reason is a third persona story composed by Kat Martin. The setting was disheartening since the opening happens at a memorial service. One of Drake’s workers was murder and the truck commandeered. Do the police have a thought who the offenders were, or do they even truly mind. Thus, the obligation is dependent upon Carly to discover. With the assistance of a companion of her granddad. Carly and Linc go on a high-octane ride to discover who, and why of this riddle.

For a puzzle anticipation Beyond Reason was an alright read. I particularly appreciated the result of this story. I haven’t perused an excessive number of books by Kat Martin. Be that as it may, I may need to keep my eyes out for the second book in this new Texas Trilogy. Because I see with regards to mystery and suspense she knows how to catch a person attention.

M. Cassidy—Luke Brodie had heard the name before, some novice bounty hunter working Seattle, catching tricky skips with more success than a newcomer should expect. But the dark curls, sparkly top, and impressive cleavage were not what Brodie had pictured.

Emma Cassidy is tough and smart and sexy as hell. She’s also popping up a step ahead of him every time he’s close to the capture he wants most . . . and there’s no room for learning on the trail of this monster.

Emma has idolized Luke Brodie, the bounty hunter who can bring anyone in. The big man in the soft shoes, with a face like a fallen angel and a reputation for breaking hearts. Watching him in action is intoxicating. But her fight with Rudy Vance is fiercely personal. If he gets too close, Brodie will find out just how ferocious she can be . . .

Into the Firestorm is the 3rd book in the BOSS, Inc series, penned by Kat Martin. I thought it was the best out of the series so far. The reason, the plot, the plot, the plot. Not to say that I am easy, but when an author can hold my attention longer than a chapter, then I know that I am in it for the remainder of the book.

Emma Cassidy didn’t want to become a bounty hunter, it was forced upon her. When her young niece was raped and the same man attempted to do it again. Emma decided to take the law into her own hands to bring the man to justice. But, to do so, she must outwit the top bounty hunter Luke Brodie.

Into the Firestorm was an enjoyable book from the beginning, middle, and end. This book is a keeper. A must read for readers who like strong female characters who can go toe to toe with a strong dominating alpha male.

A bodyguard, a bounty hunter, a private investigator, no one can handle the heat like the men of BOSS, Inc.

Megan O’Brien is at her wit’s end. Her three-year-old son has been kidnapped. No police, says the ransom demand. Fearing for her son’s life, Meg has no choice but to turn to her former bodyguard, Dirk Reynolds.

Dirk’s never forgiven Meg for the way she left him after their brief affair. But with bounty hunter Luke Brodie on his side, Dirk knows he’s got to help Meg rescue her son.

The few clues they’ve gathered send them spiraling into a murky world of big banking and international crime. Meg may be way out of her depths, but she’s seeing a side of Dirk she never suspected—one no woman could possibly resist.

My Review: Kat Martin brings home an enjoyable story about love and sacrifices. Into The Whirlwind is the next installment in Kat Martin “Boss” series. Meg loved Dirk but she put too much stock into her father’s opinion on who was and was not suitable for her. Until one day her son was taken and there was only one person she could trust and that was Dirk.

Dirk never got over Meg, unable to trust women again. Until way day Meg walked back into his life. With a risky mission of saving her son, he will do anything to get Meg’s son back and anything to get Meg back into his life forever.

I really enjoyed this book; I have to say better then the first. Even though some guys probably would have pushed Meg away to find her son alone. Dirk doing the upset made him a hero in my eyes. He utilized all his skills necessary to find Meg’s son to bring him home safely.

I have to saw it was also a pleasure to some of the other characters. I can’t wait to read Luke’s story.

Sinners, whores, and sluts beware–your time is at hand: a faceless menace is threatening lingerie models on a cross country tour, and Ethan Brodie is there to defend and protect.

Ethan’s learned the hard way that beauty is no substitute for character. So even though Valentine Hart is one of the most breathtaking women he’s ever seen, he’s keeping his hands off and his eyes open. Or that’s what he tells himself.

Then one of the models is murdered, and the closer Ethan gets to the answers, the closer he finds himself to Valentine–and the hotter the pressure feels. There’s more to Val–more to the other girls–than he could have guessed. But one is keeping a secret that could kill them all.

My Review: Several years now I said I would try one of Kat Martin books. So when I had the opportunity to do so I chose Into The Fury. This book would begin her latest series (BOSS, Inc) Ethan is called on to guard models who all received threatening letters. Ethan’s assignment becomes difficult when he becomes attracted to one of the models.

What I really enjoyed about Into The Fury was the pairing of Ethan and Val. Val was the best pick for Ethan due to Ethans alpha male tendencies. It takes a strong women to handle someone like Ethan, where the other women were superficial. Val was down to earth and took know mess from know one, not even when she becomes the next targe.  So happens characters from her “Against” series makes an appearance, so if you read that series you should really enjoy this book.
