The Devil In Disguise (Bad Things Book 1)

The Devil In Disguise (Bad Things Book 1) by [Eden, Cynthia]

Don’t make the devil angry…

Luke Thorne loves having one hell of a good time. As the ruler of every dark creature to walk the earth, he certainly has more than a bit of a bad side. He lives for danger and isn’t the type to lose his heart—mostly because he doesn’t have one. Then she walks into his life.

Mina James is seduction in the flesh, a perfect temptation that the devil himself couldn’t pass up. Too late, Luke realizes he’s let a real siren into his life, a woman who is bent on using his dark powers to free herself from hidden enemies. Since Luke isn’t the type of man to be used, he should walk away from her, but…something about Mina draws him close.

Soon he’s realizing that she isn’t who she appears to be. Not dark and cold, but burning red hot. Mina is a woman fighting for her life—and the Lord of the Dark suddenly finds himself in an unlikely role…hero. Luke isn’t going to let her enemies destroy Mina. He will fight heaven and hell to keep her. But in the end, the secrets they both carry may just rip apart a love that should never have been…

There are Bad Things in the world…very, very bad. Are you ready for them?

My Review: Cynthia Eden, delivers with her new series Bad Things. With her first title in this series of course you have to start with the bad before the good.  In The Devil In Disguise we are introduced to Luke Thorne.

According to the prophecy, twin brothers are born. One to light, one to dark. The brother of light will rule over the innocent. The brother of dark will rule over the monsters of the world. In this prophecy, the brothers will battle against each other and only one will remain standing.

Luke is what every paranormal fears and if the humans aren’t it’s because they’re ill-advised. Until she walked into the room. Mina could seduce a man with just one word but she only has one man on her radar tonight…that was Luke Thorne.

Mina is fighting for her life…..and the Lord of Darkness was the only one she knows that can assist her on staying one step ahead of the government figures that was out to recapture her. But, Mina just didn’t know that she jumped out of the fire-pan and into the fire.

The Devil In Disguise was a hot romance, packed with action, plot twist and a man who could set you a flame. Take a dip into the paranormal this summer…add The Devil In Disguise and find out why Luke Thorne is the meanest guy walking.

Beware Of Me (Dark Obsession Book 4)

Beware of Me, a real treat for lovers of romantic suspense. In 4th book of Cynthia Eden Dark Obsession series we have Carly and Ethan who we all met in Need Me. This time around it’s Carly who’s in danger. They say that your past can’t hurt you it can only make you stronger. In some was this statement is true in others it can seriously kill you. Carly and Ethan past are tied together entwined so to speak by blood and death. For this reason alone Ethan walked away from Carly, just to walk back in several years later when the secret of their past were revealed.

My Take: I really, really loved this book. One thing that Cynthia Eden does best is keep you guessing; at One point I thought I solved the mystery, than she threw in a twist that I never seen coming. Ethan was the type of guy that would do anything for the one person he loves. Whereas, Carly, she was wounded but she refused to be a victim to let what happen to her when she was 17 to control the rest of her life. Which I really loved about Beware of Me, this story had really strong characters. If the suspense doesn’t grab you maybe the real hot chemistry between Ethan and Carly will.

Need Me book review

Need Me by Cynthia Eden. Julianna Smith was to stand trial for murder of her husband. However, if you read the last book you know why she doesn’t. Is Julianna a femme fatale or an innocent woman being set up by a diabolical murderer; only one place Julianna could go to VJS Protection. Julianna needs someone to not believe that she’s a black widow, but someone to protect her from the unknown stalker that is out to kill her. Devlin Shade is that man. One of the owners of the VJS Protection, he and Julianna met in the last book when at that time his friend was protecting Julianna’s attorney from also being killed by a stalker.
Need Me title was apropos for in that Julianna finds that she will need Devlin a lot while standing a step ahead of the stalker. When you thought you knew who done it, another twist occur.
If you are looking for a nice book to end your day on a high note, or just to unwind make Need Me by Cynthia Eden be that book.

Mine To Have Review

If you are looking for a good read to curl up with on a cold winter night make Mine To Have that book. Mine To Have is the 5th installment to Cynthia Eden’s Mine series; this also would be the first in this series I have read. I found this is not a stand-alone that to get the full effect you should start the series from the beginning. However, I decided to start with this one and can I say that I loved the story of Saxon and Elizabeth. Saxon Black was on one last assignment before he could disappear to start his new life. A life where he could leave everything that he has done behind him; only thing he has to do is make it out alive.
Elizabeth when she meets Saxon was under a life and death situation mainly her own. She doesn’t know why a crazy man is holding her hostage and she doesn’t really know why a sexy as sin man wants her for an hour. Only thing she does know is that she wants to wake from this nightmare that she find herself in.
If Cynthia Eden plan was to leave you wanting more, then I could seriously say mission accomplished. I can’t wait for the next installment.

Charming The Beast Review

Charming The Beast by Cynthia Eden. This is the 3rd book in her Purgatory Novel series. What Can I say; I loved every minute of this story. Connor Marrok. A vampire/werewolf cross-over, whose duties were to guard Chloe Quick.

Chloe was tired of being a prisoner first by her father a now by the Para Unit who wants to study her. Life would be simple for Cloe if she could escape Para Unit and the people who want to control her or kill her.

Connor and Cloe grew on you and if you followed this series, Charming The Beast did not disappoint in the terms of drama and romance. It was also nice to see the others from the prior books.
