Charleston Police Officer Alyssa Adams made a promise years ago to protect innocent women from harm. Now, she won’t rest until she can reunite every lost daughter with her family. Bring closure to every grieving husband. And, most of all, find out what happened the night her own sister disappeared, more than ten years ago…

As the eldest of the Benedict brothers, Kipling will stop at nothing to protect his family from a threat that aims to destroy them once and for all. But when a long-lost sibling is kidnapped by a powerful adversary, Alyssa is the only one he can turn to to get her back.

As Alyssa and Kipling band together to find their lost siblings, a powerful attraction builds between them that they can’t ignore. As the truth comes to light, will one broken promise tear them apart?

If your looking for a truly astounding read this summer. Then you must pick up a copy of Broken Promise a romantic thriller by Tara Thomas.

I had the pleasure of reading this book and like the other books in the Sons of Broad series this book did not fail to entertain. Though I would recommend reading the books in order of publication. Broken Promise was very intense.

It carried a steady pace throughout the course of the book. I don’t know what book in the series I enjoyed more, though Broken Promise would have to top the list.

Which make this entire series a keeper. With fantastic character building and a flawless plot. Broken Promise was one of my summer guilty pleasures.

For what is worth Cowboy, Cross My Heart, written by Donna Grant published under the St. Martin’s Paperbacks brand, was an okay book. When Naomi Pierce returns to her Texas hometown it wasn’t what she expected. She, sure enough, didn’t expect to come home to find that her best friend, Whitney was being. When Brice helps saves Naomi & Whitney from an attacked. Naomi and Brice are now on someones hit list.

The plot was intriguing and intense. It kept my interest until the turning of the last page. The romance was mild compared to some of Donna Grant’s other books. If you love contemporary romance with suspense then Donna Grant’s Cowboy, Cross My Heart should be added to your list of books to read.

    sc-synopsis

New York Times bestselling author Donna Grant takes you deep inside the Texas rodeo scene in the second book in her Heart of Texas series, Cowboy, Cross My Heart, where danger and desire ride side by side. . .

Naomi Pierce isn’t the type to let a cowboy sweep her off feet. It’s not her first rodeo, after all. But when she returns to her Texas hometown, she can’t help but be swept up again in the rough-and-tumble world of hard-riding, bronco-busting good-ol’-boys she loved as a girl. She might be here to photograph her Rodeo Queen best friend. But it’s one fine-looking cowboy who really captures her eye…

Brice Harper is all man, all muscle, and all heart. From the moment he rides into the stadium, he can’t help but notice the beautiful stranger with a camera watching him from the stands. It doesn’t take a zoom lens to see the sparks of instant attraction. But things really heat up when he meets Naomi up-close—and he discovers that someone is stalking her friend. Brice wouldn’t be any kind of cowboy if he didn’t offer to help the ladies out. But can the rough rider keep this spirited shutterbug out of danger—without risking his heart?
