Normans and Saxons are at again in Heather Graham’s Princess of Fire. Alaric had a surprise coming if he thought that the Saxon’s were going to lie down and die quickly without given it they’re all. So, he found when after he thought the war was one, there was one warrior who refused to go quietly into the night. But when he unmasked the warrior he didn’t find a Saxon warrior but a Sax Princess.
Fallon didn’t know that her father was dead she didn’t know that the war was lost. She totally refutes that a Norman would be king of her land. She would fight to the death to make sure that England is set free from the Norman invaders.
You could see that Heather Graham did her research when it came time to writing this story. However, it’s all about the romance and not history when I read a romance book. Princess of Fire was full of historical facts which to me overshadowed the romance aspect of the tale. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed the book because I enjoying reading about history. But I would have enjoyed it more if Princess of Fire had more interaction between the two main characters and fewer history facts.
